RE: Bowling Cemetary
My email's, and I'd love to see the photos. I'm the granddaughter of T.C. Bowling Jr (Have some photos of him and my grandmother) and the daughter of Theodore Chesebrough III (Jr. when I knew him.) Lots of photos of Daddy.

Bowling Cemetary
I am a great granddaughter of Theodore C. Bowling. Just wondered why he wasn't listed on either of his parents pages? (Captain Robert Bowling and Sarah Mariah Cheseborough) He was their first son.
Also, from family records I have his children as Selma (24 Oct 1874-16 Dec 1953, married Richmond Pearson), John William "Willie" (20 Dec 1972-4 Feb 1909), Hiram Chesebrough (19 Oct 1880-7 Sept 1945), Cecil James "Jack" (1 Apr 1889-29 Jun 1955), Ruby (16 Oct 1876-28 Jul 1945, married Oscar Elliot), Robert Leroy (29 Apr 1883-?), Francis Bassett (Feb 1887-?), Edna Earl (5 Oct 1878-16 Jun 1944, married Harry Lee Glover) and Theodore Chesebrough (my grandfather, 19 Aug 1885-23 Dec 1955, buried in Fairview Cemetary, Pryor, OK.)

RE: Geore F. Salle
Thank you for finding that information for me. That was the book someone had told me about before. I had heard that his tombstone was moved to the cemetery after being originally beside the road with his wife. I have lots of Washington Co., AL ancestors and wish I had a copy of that book. Who knows what other genealogical gems I might find? I had never seen a photo of George F. Salle's tombstone before yours and I didn't know what was written on it either. So thank you for looking that up for me. I had no idea it said where he was from on it! If you find another clearer/close up photo, please post it. And thank you for transfering George F. Salle's memorial to me! I have done some research on him over the last few years and plan to do more. There's a Salle family history book I found a couple years ago that mentions a George Frederick Sallee. I believe the info from this book matches the George F. Salle described on the tombstone and in "The History of Washington County."

RE: Sterling Boykin & Simon Boykin
Sterling Boykin was my g-g-grandfather. Sterling Boykin is buried in Sterling Boykin Family Cemetery in Boykin Springs Park in Jasper County, Texas which is a part of the Angelina National Forest. This park was originally Sterling Boykin's Plantation from about 1849 until early 1900's. Sterling's son, Simon Boykin is buried in Gilliland Cemetery also known as Gilliland Boykin Cemetery in Angelina County near Zavalla, TX. They have been linked together on FindAGrave website. I hope this info helps.

RE: Bowling
I don't think so; but you can find out more on findagrave faq's, just type in sponsorship and see what comes up for that. I've not had a page sponsored before. I need to go there and read myself! It has been many years since talking to Mr Ted as we called him, but I do rememember him saying Eli was a brother. There is a Percy L Bowling grave that was in Carson area. It was on the Carson-Leroy south side close t where he lived when he died. First wife Bessie Sheldon is interred at Bowling. Second wife Christine, not sure where she is. May have remarried. Been so many years not sure if grave tombstone exists today. I've often wondered why he wasn't placed by wife. Some of the Bassett's were in Dallas County, Alabama, Clarke County, Alabama, others New York. Some were interred on Bassett land.
Some Woodyards were interred on Bassett land also.

This probably does not help you, but will be happy to change anything I have added.

It would be great for you to sponsor; and I was not upset, just stating I am not error free.
I knew Mr T and his wife and they were always nice to me and answer anything I wanted to ask.
