Friedman in Tuscaloosa
You asked me about a year ago about a Lilli Friedman, whom I have not found --- but there is a Millie in Evergreen Cemetery.

Also, there is a Fannie Sampline in the Friedman plot. Her headstone is identical to that of S M Friedman, so she is obviously related. Do you know who she is?

RE: a Question Re Friedman Graves
I have recently posted a couple more Friedman graves from Evergreen Cemetery in Tuscaloosa. Thought you might be interested.

RE: Friedman graves
You are welcome. I just happened across that cemetery one day while I was waiting for the library to open. Since I am not related, I have transferred the Friedmans that I have to you. Next time I am in the area, I will keep a lookout for the others for you.

RE: Locke
I do not live in Dayton but rather on the coast of Georgia. I have made two trips to the Marengo and Perry County area looking in cemeteries. My direct ancestors in that area are the McCorkles and my connection with the Prowells is simply that Matthew Locke McCorkle, a resident of Uniontown, son of Thomas M. McCorkle and nephew of my gr gr grandfather John J. McCorkle, married David M. Prowell's daughter Annie Prowell. One of the reason's I went to the Dayton Cemetery is because David Prowell is buried there but there were no potos of his stone, and actually very few photos period. David's daughter Annie Prowell McCorkle, her husband Matthew, her only child Sadie, and two of her grandchildren are all buried in Rosemont Cemetery in Uniontown, just a few miles from the Dayton Cemetery......maybe 10 miles or 15.
Fascinating stuff. I am adding quite a few new memorials to Dayton so check in a few days if you are still looking for people. Little Marie

RE: Crews/Askews Dayton
Concerning the Dayton Cemetery in Marengo County, Alabama, I took photos of every grave there....I hope. Check back at this cemetery as I have not finished adding all the new memorials and have not finished adding photos for those memorias that were already on Find A Grave. Are you related to David Prowell who is buried there? THanks Little Marie
