I am currently writing a book, "Coffins - Noisy, BoisterousóLoud," which will feature a great deal of anecdotal information, some trivia, some biographies of notable Coffins, armorial bearings, controversies etc.
Specifically, I am very interested in Onteora (Greene County), Dutchess, Oneida, Fishkill, Herkimer New York area Coffins. Edward, Isaac, Julius. Barrington, Nova Scotia Coffins: John and Mary (Davis) Coffin and their son Tristram (Edward) 1762.
I live in Atlanta, GA and will sometimes assist in photographing gravestones, however due to my schedule and mobility, I usually limit this to cemeteries located pretty close to where I live. Mostly within 5 miles of Decatur, GA.

|Rhonda||RE: Rev. George Jarvis Geer|
The photos of Rev. George Jaris Geer from Trinity Cemetery & Mausoleum (Manhattan, uptown) were uploaded to Find A Grave Memorial# 69002840.
His name is engraved on a large marker along with these names:
Gertrude Elizabeth Geer
Charles Edward Phelps
Sarah E. Phelps
There are also two headstones in the same plot:
Charles Edward Davis Phelps
Elizabeth Steward Phelps.
I hope that is helpful to your research.

|Rhonda||Rev. George Jarvis Geer|
I'm in the process of photographing gravestones at Trinity Cemetery and Mausoleum in upper Manhattan (NYC). I recently photographed some gravestones for the Geer family, Rev. George Jarvis Geer. His birth and death dates match the listing you posted, but you have him at a different cemetery. I'll upload the pictures for you to look at, but I'm pretty sure it's the same person. What do you think?

|Phyllis Young||Isaac Tibbetts Coffin|
I am a ggranddaughter of the Isaac Tibbetts Coffin who is buried in the Dutch Flat Cemetery, Placer Co., CA. He does not have any nephews with the surname Coffin. Isaac Tibbetts Coffin's father was Weare Coffin (1804-1846), his mother was Mary Canney (1802-1848).
Isaac's grandparents were Jonathan Coffin Jr. (1781-1862) whose wife was Sarah Gilman (1787-1813) and Joseph Canney (1774-1856) whose wife was Anna Kinnison (1776-1842).
The parents of Jonathan Coffin Jr. were Jonathan Coffin Sr. and Jane Brown. The parents of Joseph Canney were William Canney and Rose Tibbetts. These were New Hampshire families.
Isaac Tibbets Coffin does not have any descendants with the surname Coffin. His son died without issue. Isaac's one brother also died without issue.
Documentation: He left my family with a long diary from about 1857 to 1903. It has been published with the title "The Story of a Placer County Gold Miner." It is available at the Golden Drift Museum, Dutch Flat, CA.
I hope this helps our large family identify him.
|W. Barry Thomson||Lewis A. Coffin Jr.|
I am an architectural historian interested in Lewis Augustus Coffin Jr., a partner in the New York-based firm of Polhemus & Coffin. In particular, I am interested in Lewis Coffin's design for the country house of Dr. Frank Lusk Babbott Jr. in Bernardsville, NJ. Called "Little Brook Farm," the house and outbuildings were designed by Coffin in 1934. I would be interested in speaking with the architect's grandson, Tristram Lewis Coffin, who appears to reside in or near Decatur, GA. W. Barry Thomson
|Tonia Caneva||Coat of Arms|
I am also interested in the Coffin Coat of Arms and am a descendant of Tristram Coffin.
My father was Maurice from Colorado and his father was Robert.
I would love to read your book when you get it finished!
You are more than welcome to contact me!
|Donna Roberts||Real coat of arms|

What is the mystery that you are trying to figure out?
|John Andrew Meyer||Coffyn family|
I was looking at Coffyn burials and saw that you had added some more to the family there. Interesting that you and I have added the memorials in England.
There is a coincidence in time and place concerning William Coffin and Jane Seymore. My great grand aunt was a descendant of Edward Seymore, the brother of Jane Seymour who married Henry the 8th.
When Henry married Jane the ceremony was at the Seymore Castle.
