I've been doing genealogy for over 20 years. Most of my family history is in Illinois; also in Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, New Hampshire, and Oregon. The families I research are Bristow, Cherry, Clevenger, Gray, Klages, Safford, Stein, Traupe and Vornkahl.
I welcome new information, corrections and photos for the memorials I manage. But I hope contributors will verify the accuracy of the information they send: there is a LOT of junk genealogy out there! So I might ask for the source of your information before posting it.
Finally, please do not transfer memorials to me without first asking me if I want to manage them!

Thank you so much for your work Kim.
I understand that Margaret used the information you have, but some of it is wrong.
Margaret Catherine Burtscher/Burtcher/Bercher was born 1813 in Ste Genevieve, MO (Baptisam Records in Ste G at the Catholic Church). Her brother Michael Eugene was born 1815 (my great grandfather).
Her father Michael Burtscher died I belive 1828 and we aren't (or I'm not) sure when her mother, Margaret Hayden McCracken Burtcher died altho I'm told, without proof, 1833. But I have no idea where as yet. She was already being schooled before either parent died.

Steidley
Kay,
I am not related to Bertha, that I know of. I believe I got the info from the revised book "Tombstone Revelations".
You mentioned that you were researching some Cherry's. I have two James Harvey Cherry's (1810-1887, & 1878-1960)in my tree. The first was maried to Sarah Nevins and the second was married to Grace Jackson. I do not show a Delilah Bristow in my tree.
Where is your Cherry's from?

Kay,
Melvin's stone is same as Bertha's so very well might be brother. Did you notice that6 there is two Bertha's? One is Bertha Steidley and one is Bertha Mae Steidley Robinson, both with same dates. The 2nd with month, day and year. Are you related or do you know anything about this?

Thanks for the photo and the correction! I am related by marriage several different ways to Henry and it is so nice to see a photo of the stone on the memorial.
