|I'm an adjunct instructor for two colleges in town, and spend my spare time with family and riding my Yamaha 400 Majesty scooter.|
I've been exploring Find A Grave for quite sometime, but just recently started hunting for grave sites. It's a fascinating hobby, and have even found where people I knew were buried.
I help when I can, but I have limited time when teaching. I hope I'm able to make people happy by allowing them to see grave sites of relatives that are buried far away from their homes.

We can't thank you enough for the Cardwell family photos you just submitted. I truly appreciate the thoughtfulness and time it takes to track these things down and photograph them, etc. Bless you!

I am Sandy, I have been working on Memorial Park in Sioux City. I have been trying to get it done. I also do Graceland. I have never been to Logan or Calvary but I did go to Floyd once. Glad to see someone else working on Sioux City. I see you've been talking to Leah. She is great. Can't believe she comes all the way from Omaha. Maybe we'll bump into each other someday.

It should be called something else. I avoid it like the plague. I just write a note back to the people requesting information that it is next to impossible to find anything. Oh, I guess I did find 3 of them there, they were right in order, but that is the only ones that I have found. That baby section down in the valley just is not laid out very well. There are markers there, but I still can't figure out the layout of the land. There should be some kind of marker no mater how minute for everyone that can't afford to have one made. They aren't cheap these days, and back then, money was worse. Especially when someone died very young (infants and children) very unexpectedly. Have a great weekend. I am getting off the computer and enjoying my 3-day weekend. Please do the same.
I am sure we will talk again,
Take care, Leah

Calvary doesn't have any books, the library staff can look them up for you and tell you where the lots are. I got a few but they didn't make sense so didn't look there. Went over to Memorial Park after Logan Park to 'visit' grandparents before heading home. Tara is nice at Memorial Park. I have talked to a gentleman, but don't remember his name. He gave me names, but wasn't thrilled that I called at 4:55. I wasn't aware of the time until it was to late. The librarian also couldn't find a lot of the names that I had listed decided to wait until after Memorial Day to call the other office and see what they can tell me.
Have a good Memorial Day.

I also go to the Library first to find lots in Calvary since they are no where else available except probably at the main office for these cemeteries. I was there from 10-11:30 I think. Main one downtown.

Maybe that's because I had the book!!! I take it every time I go to that cemetery and Floyd Cemetery. If I can't find the headstone I look for others that might be around it. I don't go up there that often. Maybe once a month. There is another lady who lives in South Sioux that cleared up Memorial Park pretty much. I may have to let you know that I am making the trip and see if you are going to be out that day also. So we were actually there at the same time. What were you driving by chance? I had a red Jeep Liberty. We may have passed each other.

I see you beat me to the cemetery. I must have just missed you. I showed up this morning. I live in Omaha and decided to make the trip to get some of the requests down. I will have to check with you next time to see if you are going to fulfill any requests. I did manage to get a few of them also so wasn't a wasted trip.
Take care and happy hunting.
