I am a resident of Somerset County, PA and started this adventure with researching genealogy for my family, this led me to searching for family members headstones to add to my research files. A posting on a forum page led me here and it was been fun surveying my local graveyards and taking pictures. Now my family thinks I'm a total nut. Oh well, here are the fruits of my labors to share with you all.|
As it is labor intensive to take the time and take the pictures, make the name and info lists, and then post the pictures, I ask that you respect my photos and not steal copies of them from here. I retain all copyrights to these photos and will remove them if I find they are being used inappropriately without explicit written permission from me.

The picture of the grave for Estelle C. Evans #6875661 is for my Grandmother. Estelle Champe Evans wife of James Oscar Evans, Sr. James is the son of William Alexander Evans and Martha Estaline McClung.

I noticed you added some photos of Sgt. Sherman Lee Legg to his memorial on this site. I am doing some research for a project and am looking for his relatives. Do you have any relation to the sergeant?

It's good to see you :). I have two trees on ancestry...I think you have seen those. We also have had Larry and Sarah and William DNA tested on 23 and me and ancestry.com looking for other family. We just found boxes of pictures, mostly from Glenda's side of the family, for Larry to scan.
Do you possibly have any military documents showing military service for Grandaddy Bill? I've been trying to document his service (I joined DAR on my maternal side) for the kids and can find nothing on any of the sites. I was going to write aunt Meredith to see if she had anything.

Then we must be related 😀 Larry Beaver was my father in law. Are you Jodie by any chance?

Are you related to the Beaver family in WV? I see you have their graves listed.
|Mona Rhone||McClung Family|
Thank you so much for your postings of this family and for helping others with their research. Although I have found many records on Ancestry, your postings have much value in confirming or denying dates and names on other records.
The 1900 Census shows Burdie B. McClung as a female but I now know that Burton Buchanan McClung was a male thanks to you.
You are helping more people than you will ever know and I thank you.

Thank you for posting a picture of my Great grandparents headstone. I have never before had the chance to visit the grave. Now that I know where it is I may have to make a trip. Thank you for your time in doing this. It is much appreciated.

You had added a grave photo for Thelma Bittinger (# 75104401) a while back. Her husband recently passed away and I thought you might like to add a copy of the photo to his memorial. (Orval Bittinger #121758197). Happy holidays!

I noticed you have a large amount of Durst in your memorials. Are you a relative? I just wondered because I own the personal scrapbook of Henry Durst. It is a really old scrapbook. It contains many family photos and it also contains much of his military career.
