Tanners in Stockdale Cemetery
Connie

I cannot remember if Robert and William B. are buried near each other. By the tombstone photo I can tell William is buried in the older section of the cemetery - but cannot tell for Robert's tombstone.

Robert A. Tanner was a son of J.S. (Julian) Tanner and Mattie Gotcher (per his death certificate) and was born in TX. He appears in the 1900 Henderson Co, TX census - and the 1910,1920,1930 McCulloch Co, TX census records.

William B. Tanner was a son of Wm. Sanford Tanner and Elizabeth "Bettie" Walthrip and was born in KY. He appears in the 1880 McLean Co, KY census and the 1900, 1901 Wilson Co., TX census records.

I cannot find a direct connection between the two gentlemen. However, a kinship is possible.

Puckett Graves in Franklin, LA
Yes, John R. Carson is in the same plot as Mary Carosn Puckett. Also there are Charles J. and Mary Louise Puckett. The headstones are not as old as the death dates indicate and may have been erected when the old cemetery near the Methodist Church was closed and families moved relatives to the Franklin City Cemetery. The other Pucketts in Franklin, Homer, Warren Jr. and Warren Sr. are in another section of the cemetery. Let me know if I can help you with anything here.

RE: La visit
I think so. They only one I have found is the on Tot Polk Road. There are others in St Tammany Parish, but not in Pearl River that I know of. You could stop at one of the Churches or the funeral home on Hwy 41 and ask them.

RE: La visit
McGee Cemetery is off of Hwy 41 on Tot Polk Rd in Pearl River. It is in the 74278 block in a curve. There is a two story white house across the road from the entrance. If you are coming from Pearl River towards Bush, it will be on the left side of the road.

RE: Parker Cemetery
I was there today to get a few photo's from a request. After I took them and went to post, I noticed that you had already posted the one requested. I will delete the ones I took today, if you have better shots. Mine have shadows due to the over growth of trees.

If I'm available when you come in town, I would be more than happy to help you do some clearing. Keeping these cemeteries up is a passion of mine. I hate to see these old plots go left unattended.

Parker Cemetery
Was wondering if you are Kin to the people in this cemetery? The cemetery is in great need of freshening up, grass cutting and tree trimming. If possible, I would like to get with you to clean the cemetery in the near future. It was hard trying to get photo's of the graves due to the over grown weeds and trees.
