photo requests @ Roy
Thanks for accepting these photo requests, I am not related. I would like to encourage you to get photos of other memorials in the Roy cemetery that do not have them as it would make the trip more worthwhile than just doing 5 photos.

Whispers From The Grave
RE: Rosa Sheer
Hi Rachel,

You're welcome. Rosa is my relative too. I took that picture in 1999 but I couldn't find where I had put it. I found an old scrapbook the other day and saw that I had put it in there. I was glad to find it because I thought I had lost it! It's the only copy I have and now Rosa's stone is gone. I think it sank into the ground. :o(

Blessings,
Your Cousin
Paula

Adelphia Markward
Rachel,

Please note folling message and move the photo to the correct memorial.

Best regards,

Sue Lilley

The bottom photo on #65041049, added by Rachel Francis, is in the wrong memorial page. It's the photo of the plinthe monument script: "Adelphia wife of J.Markward" which belongs to #65040084, Adelphia Florence White Markward. I could see the misunderstanding with the two Adelphia's buried there.

Live Fire & Cultural Resources
I too am part of the military family and live less than 50 ft from the fence surround the west side of Ft Hood. Thank you for providing info to those that request photos on Ft Hood. I am working with the Cultural Resources as my father's family, the Grahams and all those others that connect have given me fodder for a book for my family, especially since my dad passed away last year.
I'm amaze at all the history I've come across and since I'm taking photos of family headstones, I began offering my services for findagrave.com.

RE: John Kendrick
Hello Rachel,
Several months ago, I went to the Mitchell Cemetery in Greensboro on a Find a Grave trip, and took some Kendrick photos...
Just today while volunteering at the Glover Historical Society, while searching for a photo someone had requested, I ran across a tintype labeled "John Kendrick"--I recognized the name and scanned it, and tonight went back into the Findagrave website to see the John Kendrick at the Mitchell Cemetery...I didn't recall that there were three different John Kendricks there!
This tintype was found in the collection of a Borland family of Glover, and Glover is a neighboring town of Greensboro, but I have no idea which John Kendrick the tintype pictures, or, of course, if it even is one of those Johns, though it does seem likely.
Is it anything you would like to see? Do you have any photos of any of those John Kendricks?
Just let me know if you would like me to email you that scan of the tintype.
