Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been searching for family members since the 1980s when you needed to talk with the family members and write down all the stories. Then it all got put away in a drawer until I retired in 2008. I now have the help of the internet and have brought the family tree way beyond any expectations I ever had. Find a Grave has been so helpful in locating the graves that I cannot travel to see and photograph. Thanks to all who have put this site together and those who maintain the records here. I am searching the family members of Wynn, Gleason, Minikus, Palm. Erickson, Laur and many others.I am searching for the resting place of Elvin Wynn and his son Warner J Wynn who both had lived in the Wadena area of Minn in the late 1800s.

sorry it took me some time to get those photos, the weather was not on my side.
Catharines husband was Comsider Herrick, Pollys Samuel Lincoln. The one side I could not read is Mary M Herrick, two year old daughter of George and Abaline. On the same side Sarah M Pickens 1857- no death date.

Hope thats helps Ingrid.

Hello Linda,

Sorry I have no info about the family, the only thing I can do is go back to Schuyler Lake and see if it helps to flour the stone, I am working all weekend but will try to go next week.

Greetings from Richfield Ingrid.

RE: Martha Herrick Minikus
Hi Linda,

You are very welcome for the suggestion. I was just doing a bit of research on the memorial page for Cora Minikus Gray, buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo.

I am not related, and have no particular interest in the family, but I do like to at least research who the individual's parents are, and link them if possible. I often get update suggestions from others to help flesh out or correct my memorial pages. As we all work together, we can gradually get most of our people reconnected with their families.

When filled out correctly, the 1925 Iowa census is a treasure trove of familial history. If you've done much research in Cedar Falls, you've undoubtedly run into some of their short-sightedness in not entering information on deceased parents. It is so frustrating when the recorder just wrote "Dead" where the parent's name should have gone. Luckily Cora lived in Waterloo, and her parent's names were recorded.

Unfortunately, Family Search uses input from people as opposed to historical documents, and can often be wrong. Historical records can be in error as well, but the source was almost always the individual themselves.

I don't have a photo of Cora, but if you'd like to post your photo of her on her memorial page, that would be great. It's a nice touch for the pages to have an actual photo of the person on them.

It looks as if you are holding a beautiful grandbaby there :-)

It was nice to meet you.
