Amazing connections
Hello, fourth cousin! Technically we're half-fourth cousins (or fourth half-cousins...I've never looked that up on Wikipedia to see what the correct designation is...)--your great-great-grandmother, Sarah Jane Bonner Lemmon, was a half-sister of my great-great-grandmother, Harriet Bonner McNabb Minteer.

Your grandparents, Robert and Mary Lemmon, were part of the cemetery list that I entered in DeLand--there have been so many cases of my unknowingly entering distant cousins from cemetery lists that it's eerie--including one set of great-great-great grandparents.

But it's the Bloomington and Jacksonville connections that are even more amazing. My wife's father and three sisters were born in Normal, and her mother in Gibson City. They moved to Florida in 1959 when my wife was three, and lived in Gainesville until she was in High School, then moved to Jacksonville! After her mother's death her father moved back to Bloomington briefly, so for many years we spent our vacations traveling to one or the other of those places.

One year we "crashed" their 60th High School Reunion--flew into St, Louis and caught a Cardinals game there, then made it to Wrigley later in the week, where as I recall the drummer from the E-Street band threw out the first pitch...

Anyway, I'd sure like to add more detail for your part of the family sometime. Phil Lasher has done a fantastic job of adding info to Find A Grave, and I'm now working on compiling a "Bonner Master List" spreadsheet as a framework for future additions. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Nice! Did you see the tin of your g-grandfather from 1888-1890? We have one for all Alexander and Sarah's children except Jeremiah who died in 1869. Fantastic photos, almost all of them belong to a third cousin of ours, he has the whole family.

I think it's pretty cool you named your son John Daniel.

Thank you, it has been a long trip and a lot of work but it's nice to know relatives are looking at it. That makes it worth it.

Please feel free to email me with the address on my contributor page.

Nice catch, I did not notice I connected his wife as spouse and mother. It's nice to know people are looking.

You also add some great photos. I see you're a daughter of John and Grace. Nice to meet you. My great-grandmother was Mary Isabelle "Belle" Lemmon Lasher.

We share the same G-G-grandfather Alexander Lemmon
