I was born in Central City, KY on April 26, 1940. I served one tour in the U S Navy as a Aviation Mechanic. I spent my whole career in aviation working on the development of the engine for the SR-71 Blackbird spy plane, United Airlines, Eastern Airlines, developing United Parcel Service's Air Line, and retiring as a Boeing 757/767 Fleet Operations Division Manager in 1998. I still hold a current FAA A&P mechanic's license.|
I have been married to Joan E. Rich for 51 years (no relation, her father and grandfather both Arthur W. Rich's came from Halifax and Newfoundland Canada)and have one son and two grandchildren.
I am now a snowbird between Lakeland, FL and Lake Hartwell, SC.
My hobbies have been building and flying experimental homebuilt aircraft, some golf, and fishing, plus RVing.
I have been working on my family tree for six months after picking up what my deceased brother recovered from the family bible ten years ago.
I have just begun to take memorials for the purpose of sharing any information I may have, to help other in their search, and hopefully to receive help with mine.
I'm happy to assist anyone looking for my help.
My public family tree may be seen by those with a membership in Ancestry.Com by searching for "RICH Family Tree" on their website.

Hi Burrus, I believe he does have a headstone. The source I used to put up his memorial was with information gathered from his headstone. I know in which section he is buried. I will try to get you a picture when I can. I will try to head over there this week. However, if you put in a photo request someone else might be able to get it for you sooner.

Thank you so much for the info! My grandma said she passed away at childbirth. My great-grandfather was only 5 years old when he lost his Mom. Thanks - I will probably be contacting you!

I am pretty sure Martha Rich Denton died in 1907 in childbirth. I believe this is the child: # 67638467.

Hello cousin! Hovey Earl Denton was my great-grandfather. He was not the only child. There were others... I'll ask my grandmother this weekend and get back with you.

On Find-A-Grave # 67638559, please connect with spouse: Martha Rich Denton # 67638495.
|Jeffry Burden||RE: William Perkins|
Actually, that would be just outside of the City of Richmond, which is wholly separate from Henrico County. I've adjusted the death place, and noted in the bio where specifically he died. With your permission, I'll "deny" your requested changes just to get them off the board.
|Jeffry Burden||William Perkins|
Do you know if William died in either the City of Richmond, or in Henrico County (a separate entity)?
