It might be of interest to you to know that the Edelen Cemetery is completely landlocked by the DuPont Washington Works chemical manufacturing company although not owned by the company. The cemetery is located in a field relatively remote from the actual manufacturing area. The company provides controlled access which allows for a reduction in vandalism while still making it accessible to family and visitors. The company mows and generally keeps it maintained. An Eagle Scout project earlier in 2012 provided leveling of the grounds, excavation, repair, and reset of head- and footstones. A news story about the restoration project can be found at www.NewsAndSentinel.com. Search on "Edelen". If I sound rather familiar with the cemetery it is because I am the public affairs person for DuPont...and the restoration project was completed by my stepson, our family and a host of Scout volunteers. It was my honor to assist you with your request.

You are most welcome. Glad I could help.
Have a great day
|Carl F. Johnson||Rian Scott|
Hi Missy, I will add photos of this grave and the adjoining Scott's that are in this family plot. One thing to note, the name on the stone is Rion, not Rian. If your information is correct, please let me know and I will inform the cemetery. I will post pics in the next couple of days.

You're welcome. I was afraid that I wouldn't find them because so many of the staones are hard to read (and it was sooooo cold!!)But there they were. By the way, I linked Hetty but there is another child, however, the name is obscured.
