I'm an Ardmore, Oklahoma resident and enjoy spending my extra time researching, taking pictures and remembering those that have passed.|
MY JOY IS TAKING PHOTOS. I'm not really into adding or maintaining memorials, unless they are related to me. So if you would like one of my Ardmore memorials transferred to you, please click on the transfer button. I'd be more than happy to send them your way :)
- ROSE HILL CEMETERY PROJECT: I am a volunteer at the Rose Hill Cemetery. My personal goal is to provide the cemetery with a photo of every headstone. Then, we will link each digital photo to their resident's file. They have more than 17,000 residents, so I will be working on this project for years... lol.
(( I AM A MEMBER OF ANCESTRY.COM, so if you are related to me, or have any info on my relatives, please, let me know. I would love to share my findings with you ))
- FAMILY PROJECT: I have been working with my mother for years, compiling data for the Kennedy's, Tates, Thompsons & Burgetts. I am merging a lot of what we have over to findagrave.com. Most relatives are from Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, Virgina, West Virginia & South Carolina.
- FAMILY PROJECT: I have been working on my father's side for only about a year now. Surnames: Bell, Cole, Loomis. I am compiling data and placing what i have on findagrave.com, as well. Most relatives are from Michigan, Texas & Indiana.
I don't have any family buried in Oklahoma.
I am OCD when it comes to data, so everything I post that is provided to me, I reference the person's name or their FAG #, on the memorial. I don't like taking credit for other people's work. And secondly, I wouldn't want to have my name posted on something that I hadn't verified myself. =) Accuracy is important to me, esp. when my name is attached to it. =)**

Re: W.H. Glover
Angela, I cannot locate the "transfer button" you mention. Where the heck is it?? I'd like to have this Find A Grave entry transferred to me. There's also a duplicate, #20164075, mis-named as William Harrison Glover. His name was actually William Henry Glover. I have sent a msg to the creator of #20164075 giving correct data for Glover; most of the data listed for him on this entry is correct, except for some of the names. E.g., his wife was Mary Elizabeth (Lindsey) Glover, #16606678, buried beside him. In my msg, I also gave names of their children who lived to adulthood. His wife Mary Eliz. Lindsey was sister to my great grandfather, Selden T. Lindsey, also buried Rose Hill #9547696.
Thank you, Gloria Reck, #47206933.

Thanks so much for the picture of Lena's grave. I didn't realize her kids used the Segroves name for her headstone. I guess they wanted her buried side by side as their Mom and Dad. Your work is much appreciated.

Many thanks for the perfect photo of Jane's tombstone. I truly appreciate it!
|Barbara McGirr||Hillcrest Cemetery|
Thank you for your attempt to photograph in Hillcrest Cemetery. I will talk to them and get a plot location, then will repost my requests. Thanks again for your time.
Thanks for checking on my great aunt Lena. I will await to see if you find if she has a headstone. She was born Lena Rivers Henderson but she married a Segroves and a Coffman prior to Fithian. In her obit. she was called Mrs. Lena Segroves Fithian probably because she had children by Mr. Segroves. Just adding this info in case she is listed a different way.
Thank you so VERY much!
|Virginia Brown||Mary Williams|
Thanks for transferring Mary's memorial to me. I have added her obituary to her memorial & trying to find her maiden name. I thought she was my g-grandmother, but learned my g-grandmother had died in 1913 not in 1914. I will return her memorial to you after I research a little more to see what I can find.
