RE: Mullins grave site
That was the spot given in the plot location..... no other markers with Mullins around it.

RE: Susan Williamson
Yes, please forward the lot card as that would answer all questions I have.

RE: Susan Williamson
Who is Hiram C. buried close to? In the lot picture that is in each memorial can you tell me where he is supposed to be??

RE: Susan Williamson
I'll look for him the next time I am out there. I was there today but I was making it a short day and to be home before it got so hot. We are having 100+ weather, which is limiting the time I spend out there.

RE: Hilon Hawley
Thank you for the extra dates...I now know which broken stones belong to which Hawley. I will upload those sometime today. It may be possible that Halon (that's how it is spelled on the stone and in some of the newspaper articles) is buried there with his parents and sisters but not listed on any of the stones. I think there was one more stone, almost buried in the ground. Another thing I can do, is ask the caretaker if I can peek at the card for that plot...he sees me there all the time and has been very helpful when I had questions. It's amazing, but this Hawley family is just behind my father's family! When I saw the request, I thought I knew where it was. Again, thanks for the added info...take care, Laurie

RE: Susan Williamson
You can request that they mail or email you a copy of the lot card. It would show a map of the lot and where each person is buried, a list of each person there along with their dates of burial, who bought the lot and when. If you see several burials on the same date, that indicates that they were most likely moved to that lot from another location and if Hiram was moved from Cave Hill or to another location in Cave Hill, the card would show that also.

RE: Susan Williamson
I really thought I had his picture until I got home and reviewed what I had. I based only on the fact that the Hiram C. that I took a picture of has a matching stone to Susan's and all the others are different. I need to quit making assumptions. If the office finds him and they say he is in the same lot as the others, then we know that he does not have a stone.

RE: Susan Williamson
If you can get a location, I will gladly try to get the picture. Stones of that era are usually marble and time and weather has worn inscriptions off, but we might get lucky.

Halon Hawley
Hi, I went to Morningside Cemetery today and found the Hawley stones but they're so old that it was hard to tell if Halon's is there. I'm sure it is but I don't know how you want me to fulfill this request? There was a broken, but upright stone for a daughter of Halon and Lucy Hawley, died Oct. 22, 1853, ae 39 yrs. There was another for a ? Ransom, and on the same, Lucy, His Wife (I believe this is Halon's wife, Lucy, and her 2nd husband?). Flat in the ground, fallen stones for Abigal, dau. of John & Mary (Halon's parents you said?); Mary, wife of John Hawley, and John Hawley. There was another broken, but still standing (leaning!) but I think it's the top half. It reads "Haw..(broken), Died Dec. 20, 184? Could that one be Halon? I can go to Northern New York Cemeteries and look at the transcriptions...perhaps there is more information there that will give us some clues? So I have pictures for all of the above...just let me know which you want uploaded, if any, for Halon. Thanks, Laurie
