Although I was born in New York City and have lived most of my life in New Jersey, many of my ancestral families arrived in Pennsylvania and Maryland during the 1700s, moved to the western parts of those states, and subsequently migrated to Tuscarawas Co., Ohio; Lagrange Co., Indiana; and Branch and St. Joseph Cos., Michigan. I also have many ancestors from colonial New England, especially Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. If you're curious about some of the families I'm researching, just check out my "Family" virtual graveyard, which includes my direct ancestors.

I enjoy genealogy and photography, among other things; cemeteries are a favorite subject for my photography. I have a BA in Art History and an MLIS degree.

If you would like to use one of my tombstone photos, please contact me for permission first. Thanks.

RE: Brighton Chapel Cemetery
Ok, found it! If I have my google right.

The Brighton Chapel cemetery is south of the Brighton Chapel itself, still on the 3, west side, and then just further south is the English Prairie Cemetery!? Right on the 3 again! Just east of where the 3 meets the E025N. On the south side of the 3.

This is great, very close to where we are staying for the week!

RE: Brighton Chapel Cemetery
Thank you, using Google, I see it on the corner of the 3 and the 200.

It is labeled as Brushy Chapel Cemetery. Is this the same cemetery?

Thx again!

Brighton Chapel Cemetery
Hi there, does this cemetery go by another name? Where exactly is it?

We are planning to be in the area in a couple weeks.

I am especially interested in Michael Aaron McKenzie and his wife Loretta, they are distant cousins of mine. Loretta's sister, Helena, was my great grandmother.

Any information would be helpful!
