RE: Thomas Jefferson (Long Thom) Simmons Judith, Sorry It took so long getting back to you.Thomas Simmons Was Buried In Russellville, KY. My great grand mother once told me he was buried in a field with a wooden marker.the place he was buried at they built a road over his grave site.So apparently his marker was gone by the time they built the road so his grave is under a road somewhere.
RE: Meador Family Judith, I am not a researcher of the Simmons & Meadows family- just a photographter of old family cemeteries. In the Macon Co Cemetery book Jobe & Martha are listed as the parents of Ambrose Meadow(1791-1861) for his unmarked grave. Very few people of that time period had a tombstone but rather a fieldrock as a marker. Good luck with your research. John
thomas (long tom) simmons I tried requesting a photo of the above person and the photo of his wife, Lucy Basham Simmons. I keep getting error messages. I would like a photo of each to add to my "family photo wall". They are my great-great-great-great grandparents. Please let me know if I am able to get a photo.
Jack Moss at ANC Hi, I see you've requested a photo for the stone of Jack Moss at Arlington National. But there is a photo of his stone, and Catherine's, on his memorial page -- have you seen those? If those are sufficient, you can delete your request. Or please advise if you want more or different photos.
RE: Mattie Irene Cummings Moss and David Albert Moss Hi Judith, Sounds like we're distant cousins! Your David Albert Moss was a brother to my great grandfather, Robert Willis Moss. Robert and wife Martha had 14 children. Their 13th child, Harry, was my grandfather (my mother's dad). I have a tree on Ancestry.com. My user name is susie1787. Are you jpobjecky on Ancestry? I think you've copied some info from my tree on David Dickerson Moss and others. And I've probably gotten info from your tree. My mom (Nancy Moss Biddle) and I are fairly confident that David Dickerson's father was Lodwick Moss, although I don't have absolute documentation on that. If Lodwick is correct, then we know for sure that Lodwick's father is Richard Moss. That's as far back as we've gotten. I've currently let my Ancestry subscription lapse, as I am going to be traveling through the first week of May. So right now, I can't see your tree. But I'd be happy to share any and all info with you regarding my line of the Moss family. My e-mail address is email@example.com. Please feel free to e-mail me if that's an easier way to communicate. Nice to meet you, cuz! Susan Biddle Ingraham Colorado City, Colorado
