By the way, I added the approximate latitude and longitude under the photos in case you want to google it. You may be interested in going to street view to see where their final resting place is.

Steincamps - Found them!
Hey Rebecca,

I finally got back to Poplar Springs Cemetery today and I found the Steincamps. I'll have the photos uploaded in just a few minutes. So happy I could do this!

I was passing through SE Missouri last fall and came prepared to take photos at Liberty Cemetery, however I was not prepared to dig. As you can see in the photo, I was able to gently brush away the dirt that had piled up aboveground against the marker, which revealed the birth date. The death date may be below ground. Without permission from a family member, I am uncomfortable digging around a marker.

Hey Rebecca,
Just wanted to let you know that I didn't get back to the cemetery as planned. It was wet all weekend in my area. I'll try again next weekend.

RE: Steincamps
Hey Rebecca,

I can't believe they won't share the photos. Maybe it's not the photographer, maybe it's the website. Oh well, I'll see what I can do. I rode by the cemetery on my way home and wrote down a phone number that was posted. Maybe they can help me. Regardless, I'll get back over there this weekend and look again. Now that I know what type of markers they are and that they may be overgrown, I'll probably have better luck. By the way, unless Find A Grave forbids it (which I don't think they do), you can use any photos that I take for any thing you want. I don't do this for any kind of credit. It's just something I enjoy doing for others because I know how important the photos of my family's graves are to me. I'll be in touch.

RE: Steincamps
I haven't contacted the group who manages the cemetery yet but I did find something interesting. The following link should take you to a list of graves at Poplar Springs. Both James and Lois are shown. If you click on their names, you can see a photo of their grave markers. It looks like they were overgrown before the photographer cleaned them off and took the photos. That may be why I couldn't find them. Although we can't upload photos that are not our own without permission, the photographer names are shown at the top of the list. You may be able to get permission since, I'm assuming, you are a family member. Please let me know if this isn't resolved and I'll pursue.

RE: Steincamps
I received a response from the church this morning. They are no longer affiliated with the cemetery but gave me some info which may help with getting in touch with the group in charge of it now. I'll follow-up and let you know what I find.

Thank you so much for photography the grave marker of Zarilda Bagby and her husband Isaac N. VanHoesen.

Finally, I know how her given name was spelled and where she went.

J. McCullough

You requested transfer of J. McCullough's memorial to you. You didn't go through his memorial to request his transfer and more importantly you didn't tell us how you are related to him.

Let us know or send the information and we will gladly update his memorial with your information.
