Whoops, previously I hit the wrong button:) There is a small write-up in the front of the book about St. James' Anglican Cemetery. I thought you might be interested in this line:

'Edwin A. McKim, author of "Landmarks By The Riverside" written circa 1933. It tells the history of the homes along Highway 2 from Brockville to Prescott.'

Perhaps you already knew about it, but decided to pass it along in case you didn't.

RE: Edwin C Brown photo
I met the volunteer caretaker of St. Nicholas while I was there. He had great knowledge of the burials there. Edwin C. Brown is located in a group of 10 or 12 Browns. Most of these were family, several brothers according to the caretaker, and most with military service. I took a photo of each of them and posted those that were not already in FindaGrave. The volunteer caretaker told me there are numerous burials throughout the cemetery either without markers, or the markers have sunk below the surface. I also noticed 4-5 vaults with the lid above ground and no name marker of any kind, although there probably was one originally. Good luck with your search.

RE: George W. McKim --phooto
The cemetery has on site a burial records book. He was listed in there with the same info already posted on Find a Grave except for the addition of the actual space. That came from the book.

If you click through on each of the pictures it will bring up a larger view. I think you'll be happy with that.

I was not able to find an actual headstone for George McKim (there are many unmarked graces in this cemetery, there are still even a few wooden plank markers but they are totally unreadable) but I was able to verify that he is indeed buried at Greenwood. What I posted was he his location but as you can see, there is nothing there but scrub.

Here is the caption I posted for the picture:

Plot 7 Lot 245
Greenwood Cemetery, Canon City, Colorado

This is the grave site of George McKim but the headstone, if there ever was one, is long gone.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for sponsoring this memorial. Are you a descendant of this person? Just curious.
