RE: Meta Heyen

I always take plenty of photos just in case. It is good to find someone who actually knows the family.

Jann Harms came over in 1867. He also had three brothers and one sister who emigrated. The sister settled in Rock Port, MO. Two brothers stayed in Petersburg, IL. One brother went to Johnson in Nemaha county NE, and Jann came to Macon. I have been trying to track down as many of their descendants as I can. There are also Rademachers around who are not related. The Anna that find a grave list as Jann and Meta's does not seem to be related at all.

I hope we can keep in touch as I travel a good bit when the weather is good. My daughter loves to go to cemeteries with me so it is usually a family affair and we stop at as many as we can. I currently have about 5600 names on FTM and somehow it continues to grow.

RE: Meta Heyen
Hi Stacie:

Thanks for the reply. I live in Nebraska, about 35 miles from Macon where Jann Harms is buried. I have been doing a lot of genealogy and would be willing to share anything that might help you. I also go all over looking at cemeteries and taking photos. I've been to Menard County, IL as well since that is where they settled. I always took pictures of any Heyens that I saw in case they might be related.

Sorry, I'm rambling, I was just excited to find a new link.

Meta Heyen

I just noticed your message on the memoria l for Jann Harms Rademacher. Meta Heyen was my Great Grandmother. I was wondering if you might have any information on her. I have been able to find nothing of her here in the US.

I have heard that their one son Gerd stated that she had died at sea, but there is nothing on the ship's manifest to indicate this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and any nifo on her family would be also.

Sincerely, Randy Rademacher

Mary Aden Husmann
I am not sure I followed your message completely, but I think you were saying that the mother Mary Aden is incorrect. I have removed her from the memorial. I am pretty sure that the father Henry is the correct person because he us buried next to John Husmann.

RE: Just to say Hi
Hi ~ Heyen is my married name. My husband's grandfather was Claus Heyen from Seward County, NE. Email me more specifics and perhaps we will find out if we are related!

RE: Samuel Galbraith
Hi Stacie...Samuel is definitely a relative of my husband. We are on vacation now so I don't have access to my tree; however I do have some information available...what are you looking for? I'll be happy to help if I can.

RE: Samuel Galbraith
Hi Stacie,
I have five Samuel Galbraith's on my tree so I'll need to know Samuel's birth/death dates if you have them.

Hope your move goes well, sorry you are leaving Missouri but I'm sure you will be happy in your new home. I want to go to Jefferson City Archives but it is so hard for me to walk, my knees and legs hurt so much. Maybe I will get there this Spring. Good Luck in your new home. Marsha
