Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started doing genealogy "research" in the 7th grade while taking Texas History in school and got back to the 1700s (9 generations) on one line of mom's side. That was before the internet! Dad got interested and took over for both his side (Kansas) and my mom's side (Texas). He turned his side over to a Kansas cousin about 15 years ago.

Spring, 2014: Since I am (fairly newly!!) retired, I'm starting doing the Find A Grave research for both the Texas and Kansas sides of my family!

Kansas/Indiana/Kentucky: BAILEY, CARSON, LONG
Texas (Guadalupe and Caldwell Counties): USSERY, WRIGHT, APPLING, PEIRCE, KETCHUM, EUSTACE, HARTER
Other States: WOLCOTT

My interests right now are:
1-The Appling Cemetery, Guadalupe County, Texas. It is actually located on my family land (handed down through 4 generations of the Wrights to my mother and now to my uncle).
2-The Don F. and Nellie Neely family from Neosho County, Kansas. My dad's mom was one of their 12 children.
3-The David Levi and Huldah Bailey family from Neosho County, Kansas. My dad's dad was one of the 5 children.
4-The Mastin Ussery descendants, mainly in the Highsmith Cemetery, Guadalupe County, Texas.
5-The Catholic Sisters who were connected with San Antonio schools (Incarnate Word, Our Lady of the Lake and St. Mary's).
6-Alumni from Rice University/Institute.

** If you are closer kin to any of the memorials I manage than I am and would like to manage them, please let me know!

** Any photos I have posted may be shared on your family (not for profit) sites, with a note of credit.

Thanks, will check out both of them and try to find the correct place of birth.

Edit request for #144798960
I received an edit request to add place of birth as Hopkins Co., Texas to James Franklin Bailey #144798960 memorial. His obituary states: James Franklin Bailey was born August 5, 1942 in Dallas, Texas and not Hopkins County. I know many times that obit information is incorrect. What is your source of information regarding his place of birth, are you a family member, I'm guessing?

Mastin Ussery
I see that you are interested in this family. Abner Mastin Ussery b.1861 (son of Mastin and Sarah Jane Martin Ussery, was married to Elizabeth Manilla Ketchum. She was my first cousin, three times removed. They are buried in the Highsmith Cemetery in Guadalupe County. I have Ketchum family history back many generations. Also some of the Ussery family.

RE: Dr Eliz Batmanis #136239700
I declined because I do not use titles in my memorials...especially when the occupation is listed in the obit.

My son was a patient of Dr. well as my brother, sister, nieces and nephews.

I had an explanation typed so I don't know why it was not included.

RE: John H. Hunter memorial
I'll contact the manager of the other memorial and see what I can work out. I actually ran across this very same problem last summer. The only problem was the other person didn't want to lose any credits for his number of memorials.
So, if he wants the credit for it, I will delete mine if he will make one in the correct cemetery. And then add my photo. No big deal.

John H. Hunter memorial
I can verify that I took this photo and the marker is in a cemetery located in Cass County, Texas. About 7 or 8 miles from the Marion/Cass county line.
The cemetery is located on County Road 1639. A trucking company I used to drive for is located even farther into Cass County and they have an address of Jefferson also. Who knows why ??? It's actually only 6 miles from Linden and about 15 from Jefferson.
I noticed the cemetery the memorial # you gave me has over 300 interments. The one in Cass County only has 66. There may be more but that is all I have ever been able to find. It's been burnt by a wildfire and grown over by brush.
I hope this helped clear it up. If not, let me know what else you may need and I'll be glad to help.

RE: Stewart gravestone photo

I could not locate my photo for the Stewart memorial. I went up today and took a new one. I am sorry it took so long to update.
