RE: Hugh Murphy-St. Raymond's
I have the same issue in my family. Seems the little money there was needed to be spent on the living. There were a number of Murphy's in this section (it seems to be a very Irish section) so I was very careful to make sure I was in the correct range and grave site and then I double checked it again. Fortunately St. Ray's requires tombstones to be labeled with their location so it takes the guess work out of it. Most of the other cemeteries around here require you to walk the entire section.

for a small Murphy name.. they don't
have to go big like the others.
but in those days and monument place is right across from them they did.. and still there

RE: Graves
Thank you. I will ask about administering the memorial for Joseph Shaw.
I spoke to the caretaker for Calvary Cemetery and he said to call him with the date I wished to come to St Patricks and he would unlock the gates.
As far as St Patricks records go, there does not seem to be a complete list of people who are buried there. I have a copy of Mary Delahanty's 1929 obit stating that her funeral and burial would be at St Patricks but the church could not tell me if she was there.
I hope you are able to locate the sites you are planning to photograph. I know my relatives are buried in the old section along Prospect.
