I caught the genealogy bug over 20 years ago when I found that I had ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War. It is fun to find the long forgotten many great grandparents and their families. Most of my families came to America and then the United States in the 16 and 1700s. It is surprising how much documentation can be found for a time so long ago.

Find a Grave has offered me so much information that I decided it was time to give back and have now taken volunteer photos for others.

Thank you very much Linda for taking the time to find these headstones. My uncle has been looking for this information for many, many years. We appreciate your help and I will pass it on by helping someone else!

Hi,
I upload a photo of Ellen's stone today. It is dark in places since it was covered with lichen and difficult to read, but now readable. With a good rain it should get better.

Sincerely, Ed

Headstone of Maudie Van Gorder
Linda, Thank you, very much for the photo.
This is the headstone of my great-grandmother.
Unfortunately, I can not figure out the writing,
and what it says.
You all are doing a wonderful job on
something that means so much, to so many people.

Thank you so much for the reply and for your time looking for me.
I really appreciate it. I love your idea with the grave photo and a question mark.

Grave photos for Kern. Does your photo of a grave marker with a question mark mean that you could not find a grave stone for them
