Wow, we freaked out the librarian at the Geauga Library! The same day you called to get that family group sheet, I had gone there and found the same one and was pointing out to her that I found a group of those same people in a book of births where the last name had been transcribed as Blackman. The script rr looks a lot like a script n. She thought I was pulling a prank of some kind, because she had been on the phone with you within the hour, and here I was asking about the same Ransom L. Blackmarr.
I work in Chardon on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Urgent care. Monday I made digital copies of the Census for 1860 in NY for R L Blackmarr with Eliza (Bowe, not Rowe), and found two NY tax records for him 1862 and 1864, also made digital copies I can email to you.
You are my half fourth cousin.

Descendants of Abner Bowe
I didn't find any children of Jane and Ransom Blackmarr, only the children of Eliza Bowe and Ransom L Blackmarr. Jane probably raised them as teens. I have been doing a genealogy of the Bowe descendants and recently met two of the Blackmarr family online, so if you are a descendant of any of the five Blackmarr children (F.L., Hamlin Leonidis, Mary Cordelia, Melodia E. or Frank Ransom), I'd like to include your names and dates in my family collection. You can email me at dbowemd @ (remove spaces)

I see you were looking for Ransom and Jane Blackmarr, so I am assuming you are related. Thanks for the flowers! I will be posting a photograph of the stone soon. I took the photo today. Also going to add Frank Ransom Blackmarr and his wife Mabel Tinker in same cemetery. I have not found where Eliza Bowe Blackmarr died, but likely in New York south of Buffalo.
