Out of curiosity, which line do you descend from from Phillip C.?
|David Stokes||RE: Louisa Gross Connection|
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.
Here is what I have on Christine (Klopfenstein) Gross' parents.
Phillip Klopfenstein born 3/4/1762 in Wingen Sur Moder, Alsace-Lorraine, France. died 4/21/1806, same place. Married Sophie Griese c.1789. She was born 4/5/1764, same place and 1/24/1842, same area. They had at least three kids:
Phillip's parents were Jean Philippe and Sophie Elizabeth (Judenhuth) Klopfenstein.
I hope this helps. One thing, I do not have specific source documentation to back this up so take it for what it's worth.

|Preserving the Past||RE: THANK YOU !!!!|
Hi Cathy, So glad that the information was helpful to you. I have not heard back from David England. Truthfully I am wondering if he is still an active contributor, since I messaged him a couple months ago about another memorial that I wanted some updates done on and never heard back from him (that is how I came across your message to him..I was going to leave him another one from me) I would be happy to help you any way I can. That is what I love about Find A Grave...many of us try to help each other in our family search endeavors! My direct email is: firstname.lastname@example.org I know several of the Rozell family..but unfortunately several have passed away these past couple years. William Rozell is the only one living in Troy (and I do not know him very well). There are no longer any McSherry's living in Troy. There may be some offspring, now married and of course with different last names, but I do not know any of them personally. Not to say that I couldn't find out some info for you though if needed. We do have many "Sherry's" living locally, and they could be related, having dropped the Mc from the McSherry last name?? Is that a possiblity? Let me know if I can be of any help to you. Just reference McSherry in the subject line, so I know it is from you otherwise I may accidentally delete thinking it is spam mail. Have a great day! Debbie
