I have always enjoyed family history related to Oregon pioneers. My ancestors were Oregon Trail pioneers, and many of the families I grew up with have histories that go deep into the beginnings of our modern state.|

I forgot to mention something.
You did good getting the portrait back at the top of the page. You did not really say if you knew about adding it as a person or not. Maybe you do know this?
Anyway, when you click on the button to add a picture to someone's page it takes you to that window where you can do that. Up near the top of that page is a small option box called "Type of photo" and it says "grave" in that little box, right? It has a little down arrow on the side of the box that you can click on which opens a menu of options you can choose from. The options to choose from are "person, family and other". If you click on "person", BEFORE you add a picture to someone's page, then, that portrait will stay the first thing on the page and if someone else comes along and adds another picture of a grave of something the portrait stays at the top of the page and the grave pic will appear after the portrait and you won't have to rearrange the pictures again. For what it is worth anyway. It is hard to remember to do that usually, for me anyway.
I contacted the person who made the page for Charles Shelley and asked them to link him to his father's page, Sylvester Shelley. They are usually pretty good about taking care of requests pretty promptly. I was interested in that Shelley name but I don't think this Charles is related to the Shelley's connected to my tree unless it is back there a couple hundred years further than I am able to track it?

You are very welcome. Glad I could help.
Those others, Joseph and his wife and Gertrude Hunter, I don't know where they are buried up there. I did not see them around the area of Delmar's grave.
I don't ask the cemetery for locations anymore as I said. If some family member wants to ask and they put in a request for a picture, then I will take care of it.
You could add the rest of the location to Delmar's page if you like.
I just put Greenleaf section. He is in=
Greenleaf section, Lot 217, grave 1

Well, I done did it. I got some good shots of Delmar's grave. The first time I went up there it was in the shade and I found out that if the sun ever hit their plot it would be pretty late in the afternoon. I went late yesterday and got in there with their lot in full sun, got the gravestones all cleaned up and got the pics and got out of there right before they locked the gates. Whew! They close the gates there at 4:30!
What do you want to do now? You did not add Delmar's portrait as a person, you added it to his page under the default setting of grave picture. Do you know what I am talking about? If not I will explain. I think his photo should be the first thing on his page. You will have to take his picture off now and reload it onto his page and it will be the first thing on his page. It I deleted one of the pics I added it would put his portrait back onto the first page but it would not be the first thing on the page.

Huh, that is interesting. Sounds like quite a guy, the organ player. You find so many interesting things in research. I had a cousin Robert Haines, who I never knew, who grew up here in Portland. He was a third cousin I think. He may have known this Glenn Shelley? Robert was in high demand as a singer. I found all kinds of articles on him in the newspaper singing at different things and in opera's and musicals. He had his own radio show on KOIN every week. He did that in the late 30's though. When WW2 started that was pretty much the end of his music career. He went in the Army and became a career military man and made General before he retired.
I keep wondering if the Shelley's in your tree are related to the ones connected to my tree. I may go climbing in that tree sooner or later. I get to going from one tree to the next. I feel like Tarzan sometimes swinging from tree to tree to tree. Har har. A genealogical Tarzan. :-]
Delmar does look a bit like Rob Lowe. You are right. I am a big fan of his. I loved the movie Christmas Shoes w/Lowe in it. I like the girl who played the dying mom in that movie, she is Brad Paisley's wife. In case you don't know Brad is currently the #1 Country singer in the world.
Anyway, if you need any other pics at Lincoln let me know since I go up there a lot. I live about 4 miles from there on Division.

Hah, this is funny, this last message you sent says you sent it at 11:50 AM today and it is only 11:25 AM. :-] You must have sent your message into the future from where you are at?! :-] Maybe you have a time machine I could borrow? I would bring it back to you before you let me borrow it, I promise. :-]
OK, so you are familiar with the person I mentioned. I will let her know you are not someone new. Her "handle" on Find A Grave is ButtonButton. No idea what her real name is?? So I am not sure actually if this is the same person you mentioned?
Anyway, I got to going on this Truman tree a bit. I like to see everyone linked together as much as I can. It is just beyond me to do a simple get it done as quick as possible page on someone. I like to add some extra details for anyone who might be looking for them. I love doing research. I think it is a lot of fun.
Also, I only know where Delmar's grave is and his Shelley grandparent's. I got curious who his Truman grandparent's were and found obits for them in the paper and the obits said they were buried in Lincoln Memorial also so I added them to Find A Grave, but, I do not know where they are buried in the cemetery? I would take pics of their graves too if I knew where they were at.
Lincoln Memorial does not like people like Find A Graver's in their bugging them about where people are located. It takes up their time. If someone contacts them who is related they are good with that. They have a thing on their web site that you can email them to ask them things like where a relative is buried and they will email you the info or you can call them.

I am the one that made the page on Find A Grave for Delmar Truman. I took your pic request to get a picture of his grave. The plan is to go back up there this coming week when the weather turns real sunny again.
I am not related at all. I just added a lot of people to Find A Grave for Lincoln Memorial Cemetery and Delmar happened to be one of them. I added them so people who might be looking for them could find them easier.
I know that Delmar is buried next to a Charles and Minnie Shelley. I have some Shelley's wayyyyy off a limb off of my tree and I got to wondering if Delmar was related to them since he was buried next to them and discovered that they were his grandparent's.
Charles and Minnie Shelley had a daughter Carmen Shelley who married a Sterling Truman. I linked Delmar to his parent's and got the person who made the pages for his parent's to link them to their parent's, ok?
I said all that to say that the person who made the pages for Delmar Truman's parent's then emailed me and asked me if I was related to this Truman tree. I explained to her what I just explained to you that I am not, etc.,etc.
She said that she works at the Brooks Hist Soc which is down near Salem. She said there are some people that are involved with that Hist Soc who are related to that tree or at least a branch off of it that are always interested in finding others who are related to share info with.
I could give you this lady's email address if you would care to contact her unless you are not related and are not interested? Let me know
Nathan in Portland.
