Bio and Links
Bio Photo ==============================================

I started working on my family tree in 1978 when my mother got me involved in helping her do research. I am now retired and have more time to spend doing genealogy.
About 5 years ago I discovered Find-A-Grave and have been hooked ever since.

My main focus is on the families of Valentine, Virnig, Faust, Maiette, Clourate, Swain, Roots, Jolley, Powell, Fairfax, Gillam and their extended families.

I also have extended roots in the founding families from Nantucket Island including, Swain, Barnard, Macy, Coffin, Gardner and Mills.

I find old cemeteries fascinating, every old cemetery has it's own unique personality, unlike new cemeteries that are laid out in neat little rows with flat headstones.
So much family history can be found in old cemeteries.
Every grave has a story behind it and a story to tell.

Feel free to use any photos that I have posted, for non commercial use only. (Your personal family trees and Ancestry.com are OK)

Please DO NOT repost my photos on Find-A-Grave as your own.

I was very fortunate to have many family photos passed along to me, I have posted family photos to share with extended family members that were not fortunate enough to have these photos.

Feel free to use and copy "Family Photos", I have posted them to share with extended family members.

Please use the "EDIT TAB" on each individual page when requesting changes, additions, links, or transfers.

I will gladly transfer any memorial that is not part of my family.

Please do not make duplicate memorial pages!

Duplicate pages really mess up the linking process!

Search the name you are looking for before making a page, if the page already exists request a transfer!

=================== 'HTML' ===================

Find-A-Grave pages will except 'Limited HTML' promps.
You can use standard BOLD opening and closing promps to add Bold words.
You can use standard LINK opening and closing promps to add links to your pages.
You can use standard Italics opening and closing promps to add Italics text to your pages.
To change the Size of the columns use a row of = signs in the first line of copy in the Bio section.
Example, to make larger Bio. Copy space with smaller photos.
Size and Color promps do not work...

Thank you so much for adding the photo for the unmarked grave of Marion Nelson Rich. I appreciate the extra effort in finding the location.

RE: Move the pictures?
Ouch!

I haven't heard back from that page owner, if that is her. Does she even live nearby enough to walk the cemetery and make sure or not whether it's a mistake? Somebody actually did do a walk by in the past at the correct cemetery, which adds authority to my findings...not to mention your own visit and photos.

These are hardly existential problems, so hardly they'll work themselves out.

Thanks so much for your help and all of the extra trouble, Rick. I got involved in this extension of my Clark family tree, because I can't see this mistake continue. Genealogical research is frustrating enough, without people on findagrave adding extra people.. (: It it helps me find a cousin, I want it fixed.

Much Appreciation!

RE: The Clark's in Spokane
Exactly, that would be perfect. I sent a message to that manager earlier today regarding the fact that Fairmount's Lawn 29 doesn't have those types of plots, etc, and are therefore invalid. The Lawn 29 at Greenwood Mem DOES work, of course.

Your having been there will help so much.

The person who runs the correct page for Edson D Clark thinks it's possible there were two men of his exact same dates...just because he married two different women. That is pretty common (remarrying, etc). What may be confusing her is the mistaken pages at Fairmount, in other words. Until we work that part out I can't even get her to adjust or link things for the correct page/man.

Well, thanks again! You responded so quickly.

Move the pictures?
Hi Again Rick,

Since you actually walked the cemetery and took the photos, could you delete them from the incorrect memorial pages and place them, instead, in their proper spots? If you don't delete them, the confusion will continue--and I can't choose to delete them, of course, since I didn't attach them and don't run those faulty pages.

The people were already listed at Greenwood by these numbers, and I can't account for who or how or why somebody duplicated them at the other place.

Here are the correct numbers at the proper place:

--Ada Belle Clark: 112593440
--Stephen Clark, husband of (if there was a duplicate at Fairmount): 112616352
--Anna M Clark: 112593935
--Edson D Clark: 112594009

Some of these people had photos, but they aren't nearly as nice as yours, so definitely add them to Greenwood?

Thanks Again For Going So Far Out of the Way To Help.

RE: The Clark's in Spokane
I'll have to communicate with the page owners for the other cemetery, and I don't know if they'll believe me.

Wish me luck, and thanks!
