Inspired by a brown kraft paper sheet of genealogy completed by my maternal Great-Grandmother, Alice Mary Wood Hodgdon (1879-1961), for her admittance to the Daughter's of the American Revolution (DAR); my kind Aunt made a copy and that is where I started from! It was indeed quite accurate & from there I have a genealogical tree consisting of over 11,000 people. I have been very fortunate as most of my genealogical lines have been in the same area of Maine since the 1700's; my patrilineal lines trace to the Mayflower (however the "recycling" of names continues to vex me!); my research is in the Boothbay Harbor region along with the surrounding islands, Westport Island and Massachusetts. If there is any assistance that I could offer, please don't hesistate to contact me! Happy Hunting!|

|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.
I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th. Actually, thanks to you and other findagravers, so far today Traci has received 6,026 flowers/tokens. That makes my family and I extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.
I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!
This is something I wrote for Traci:
It was a cold, quiet night at the cemetery. The snow was falling gently to the ground. The only sound that could be heard was the whistling of the wind. Off in the distance I suddenly heard the tiny sound of jingling bells. I looked around and wondered where the life was in the stillness of this cemetery.
As I gazed around, I saw a ray of moonbeam shining down on a small Christmas tree.
I thought to myself, "This is where the life is in the cemetery!"
Ring the bells this holiday season in memory of those you love.
Sharon (Traci's mom)

Hi Terri...I had a relative die at Andersonville, too. See 3946642.

All yours, Terri. Just an aside...if you use the "edit" request function and send the number that way with a request to transfer, it provides the memorial number AND your ID number in the same message. Makes it a bit easier for the transfer. No worries, though. You can try that for the next relative!
|Val Lovelace||RE: Norman Hugh Hodgdon Jr.|
It's my pleasure, Terri. Am glad to make the connection! Let me know who else in your family you would like me to transfer.

Wanted you to hold these...I like getting family with family! Let me know if there are other family members you would like to have transferred. Just use the edit button, ask to have the transfer, and include your FG member ID.

Can't recall if I replied to your message. Yes, please send all the update you wish...just use the edit function for each. Thanks much for your kind words!

thank you. I've been in touch with both Boothbay HS and Westport. They say there are no cemeteries out there. I guess it is all granite. thank you.
|Val Lovelace||RE: Thank you!|
Thank you so much for your kind message. I love being out in the old cemeteries photographing and documenting them. When Spring arrives, I hope to do more in my area. Val
|Bob McLellan||RE: Old Cemetary - Boothbay|
Wish I could help you but I have never actually been to Boothbay myself----I am following my family tree lines which have very deep roots in Maine.
Good luck on your search this summer.
