Bio and Links
I started looking into my family history in the early 1970s. My families include McDaniel, Huggans, Walden, Arnett, Moss, Wadsworth, Feaster and others.
I also have some information on my wife's families: Truitt, O'Brien, Leake and Dowling.

Mary Mackey Moss
You have Mary with dates of 1801 to 1857 and married to Carroll Moss. Trouble is that she is in the 1870 census with Carroll Moss which does not compute. Where did her death info come from? Do you have any newer info? (roggenguy @

RE: Truitt photo 1908
Hey Lyn,

Wish I could help you with identifying the Truitts' in the photograph you have.

Hermit Francis Truitt is a 5th cousin of mine and I would have no way to know who is who. I don't really know of anyone that might be able to help you.

Cool that you have the photograph!

Sorry I am unable to help you,

Barger & activity
Susannah Barger > Margaret Ann Wadsworth > Henry Francis Potterfield > Henry George Potterfield > Carolyn Sue Bremmer > Me

I'm still active on FindaGrave, just not adding much besides my direct relatives any longer. I have almost all of my folk from this area memorialized on here already, other than those of us still alive and kicking. There are four totally undocumented small family cemeteries around here I have found that aren't my relatives, but I may still do them some day. I looked at a couple of markers in each one, and found three graves that were already documented as "burial unknown" and "date unknown" on FindaGrave, so no big rush to put in all that work in briar patches just to suggest corrections to some existing memorials.

RE: Thanks
Yes it is. I just checked and I have your email, but have been tied up with my 102 year old mother-in-law who had a stroke several weeks ago and is not doing well.

I will take a look at your email and get back with you as soon as I can.

Re: 96729438
Thank you for letting me know about the discrepancy in date of death for Mr. Lobban. I probably saw it as one date but the internet records show another. I changed it to reflect the internet records. it looks better.

Thanks again!!

Nancy Moss
would like more info on my great, great grandma and grandpa.
our grandpa was Kenneth H Neagle, his dad John William Neagle and his dad Elison Neagle, who married Nancy Moss. Do you or your family have any pics or info that would be helpful for me of Elison, John William or Nancy Moss. I believe her Dad was Carroll Moss 1827-1887. do you have info on him. I think her mom died of small pox while she was young. any info on her mom?
do you know how the Mosses or the Elison Neagle ancestors got to America? if so can you refer me to where to find that info.

Hester Ann Griffith Moss
Your message of: Beware of confusion with another Hester Ann Griffith. Both were born in 1821 and both married Moss men. They had different fathers, but the same grandfather (Abel Griffith).

I have been researching Hester Griffith, the daughter of John L. Griffith and Nancy (Francis) Griffith. They have a daughter Hester, and I am attempting to see if the other Hester Ann Griffith is the person that you are referencing above? Would you have any additional information regarding either the Hester Ann Griffith or the spouse surname Moss that you have referenced?
