I have enjoyed genealogy for over 25 years and have accumulated a database on the Delong/DeLong surname which is likely second to none. This database includes the complete works of the late John D. Baldwin III who spent 50 years of wonderful research on this surname.|
Other surnames I research are Bilbee, Hoch, Starkey, Muir, Strimple, Benham and others.
Transfers: If you are interested, just ask! I am not hung up on the findagrave.com guidelines, all that is important to me is that if you are better able to add to the memorial than I am. You don't have to be directly related, just willing and able to make the memorial better.
Please use edit/suggestion and include your additions, plus your relationship, or connection to the memorial.
Anyone who has spent much time researching the Delong, DeLong, De Long, Delang, DeLang surname, may have run across the longtime DELONG researcher, the late John D. Baldwin III. John has catagorized all of these surnames into 10-11 groups in which he called Volumes. Currently there are Volumes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, & 14. All the 10,000+ DELONGs in Find-A-Grave are in one of these Volumes. I befriended John years ago and have his complete collection of these Volumes.
Although I don't like creating memorials without actual burial locations, I have found it necessary to do so in some instances in order to group children with parents or to link between children and grandparents.
ANY memorial that I have created with an unknown burial, will be transferred to you if you uncover the true burial location as your reward.

|Alice [McMillan] Lockridge||Thank you for transfering Washington McMillan|
Thank you for sending me the memorial of my relative Washington McMillan. I have just recently been in contact with his direct descendants who didn't know thier great grandfather's connections because of a break in information due to their father's divorce and leaving them. Now we can share the information. Your work is much appreciated.
He married someone related to you Nancy Ellen DeLong and the name DeLong was given to some of their children and went forward into our family tree as a middle name for some children.

|Tim Holmes||RE: Columbus DeLong|
You are quite welcome.
|Tim Holmes||Agnes Aliza Delong|
Just providing a correction. Agnes Aliza Delong married William Martin Zimmerman, they had a daughter Eva Estella Zimmerman who first married J. Frederick Schleicher (they had a daughter Dorothy), then later married John W. Willis. I have photos of the grave sites of Eva and John somewhere, but have yet to find the photos. Agnes Aliza later married J. Frederick Groover. My father personally knew his great grandmother Agnes, and his grandmother Eva. If it wasn't for my Dad, I would never have navigated through the multiple marriage minefield. I pretty much have all the info from my branch of the Bowers, Pa. DeLong branch. My line goes from Peter to Michael to Issac to Columbus, then to Agnes to Eva to Dorothy to Donald, then finally to me. I have more detailed info if you have any more questions. I'd be happy to help, if I can.
|Tim Holmes||Issac K. DeLong|
My great great great great grandfather. He was married twice, with a total of 19 children born. His 19th child, Columbus, is my line of the family. Issac was about 60 years old when his second wife gave birth to Columbus.
|Tim Holmes||Columbus DeLong|
I have photos somewhere of all the grave stones for Columbus, and the rest of his family buried at Easton Cemetery. My line goes down to Eliza Agnes DeLong (Zimmerman)(Groover), then to her daughter Eva Zimmerman, My Father's maternal grandmother, who was at one point in time married to J. Frederick Schleicher. they had a daughter Dorothy, who married Charles F. Holmes (my grandfather), the had a son Donald (my father) and he had me ... Tim Holmes. Just thought you might like to know that I have pics of all of that part of the family buried in the Easton Cemetery. They are all in the same section.
|D K Lewis||RE: Sophie I DeLong|
I do not have "trouble" to deleted the memorial. I am awaiting for Margi to fixed this correction as you mention that you requested to edit it before I can delete it.
|D K Lewis||Sophie I DeLong|
Thank you for bringing to my attention over Duplicated of Sophie I DeLong at Fairhaven. I am unable to deleted this memorial you have had asked me. I have upload the photo and as you can see the marker that is the corrected name. Also these "other party" did not added the plot location.
|Michael Kibel||Mary Cathrine DeLong Geissel Memorial|
