RE: Samuel G Welch Jr.
Hi Cathy.....

I just put down what you said about the letter. Is that ok? I'de be happy to put a copy of the letter in if you sent me a pic of it........

It breaks my heart to read what you wrote about your Grandfather traveling back to NY and trying to search for his brothers and not being able to find them. Very sad!

Hi Cathy.....

I'd be happy to add something to his memorial. Why don't you write something up about him exactly how you'd like it to read on there and I'll put it in for you......What ever you'd like. I'll just cut and paste!......only work will be on your end :)

Just send it along to me at ancestorsrus@hotmail.com

I'm looking forward to reading more about him!

Hi Cathy,

This is wonderful that you were able to find this info on your Grandfather's brother! I think it's so nice that his remains are back here and not far away in France where his grave can't be visited by his family. Looking at the date on the letter......1922......it makes me wonder how many people aren't aware that their Soldiers weren't sent back home to rest as well.

Your compliment makes me smile. Thanks! I just love so much doing this. It's a real pleasure. When I come across a stone such as Samuel's it's very moving. Reminds me of how many brave men and women have lost their lives fighting for their Country. So brave! Such Heroes!

I was wondering if you'de like for me to transfer his memorial to you so that you can more freely add want you want for him. Maybe even pictures!

Let me know.....

Take care....

RE: Warren Welch
Hi Cathy,
I live in Florida so am not able to take a picture for you. I was transcribing notes from Allegany County Historical Society. You should write to them and ask if they have further information/pictures of the gravestone.
Sometimes they use society records and the gravestone may not be in existence anymore. I do not know what the status is with Warren's gravestone.
Here are links to the society. I will transfer his memorial so if you find or have more information on him, you can add it.

Hi Cathy
I just found the obit for Josephine and putting it on Findagrave!! The birth date doesn't match by a long shot but since the surviving children are right -- it has to be her.

I have several projects right now keeping me EXTREMELY busy but wanted to let you know since this is one of the 'lost' children we have been looking for.
