You're Welcome. It seems the family, and perhaps Ambrose himself, decided to go back to the original "Woods" since they used it for his tombstone. His wife Mary Fitzgibbons and their son Charles are also listed on the stone. The Erie Railroad magazine used "Woods" in his obit listing too. D

I looked through my folder and added a photo for Ambrose, Mary and Charles. I have also added more
Wood/ Woods family members at Rural Valley and Mount Hope Plains. Hope this helps.

The obit you added looks like it says Dec 14 for DOD, but you requested Dec 8. Can you verify? Thanks Pat j.

On the 1910, 1920 & 1930 census, WWI draft card and Social Security card Application his last name is spelled Wood and his wife's headstone that you sent an edit to connect them, her last name is spelled Wood also. Just letting you know I think Wood is correct but maybe your right. His middle name is Frederick. I'll send an edit. I saw the other person's comment that he was married 3 times. Hope this information helps you.

My Great, Great uncle Ambrose Woods was married 3 times.
I have to check out to whom and when, but answer to that question is not 2 but 3 times.
Are you related? do you want access to my tree?
Just letting you know that I have just added a brother of Hannah Ammarell Gormley's to Find A Grave, and found her obituary to be very interesting. (The farm, etc.).
Was wondering if anyone knows where their parents were buried so that they could be connected.
B C Burt in NC.
|Peter Mc||RE: North Settlement Cemetery|
Hi Sarah. That's the same cemetery. It was also known as the Smith cemetery. She must be buried there with her husband and son.
It's near Strongtown, as that is basically where Harris is today. (the North Settlement/Smith cemetery is on Harris Rd.) The Strongtown cemetery and the Brookside cemetery are in Harris, just a few miles away.
Send Holly a message. She will probably move her memorial to the North Settlement cemetery. She'll add your obit too.
