I have been researching the Stou(gh)tenger family since January 2008. My great-grandmother was a Stoughtenger, and my interest is in the entire family. I have detailed basic information for each of the family lines on my facebook page called Stoughtenger Stoutenger Family History.

Stoutenger
I was wondering if you knew when Stoutenger lost the GH and if the people that I am finding with the GH are the same people that I am looking for

RE: Joseph Stoutenger DOD
Michele - I got over to the library - Joseph H. Stoutenger died May 5, 1905 in Middletown, NY.

(they don't list counties on that fiche).

RE: Joseph Stoutenger DOD
Michele - you are right - Joseph's DOD was May instead I had March (oops) - I just changed it.

I work fairly near the Syracuse Library - if I get some time - they have the NYS Vital Records fiche there - I will double-check what that says as to where Joseph died.....

RE: Stoutenger graves
Hi - I'm not a relative - just entering burials from Oakwood. I linked Joseph and Bennett together as brothers - and I found an obit for Bennett. (see their memorials now). It said he was born in Sullivan, Madison co., NY (I got the Manlius, NY from Oakwood's books). Do you want me to change the place of death for Joseph to Onondaga County, NY (Middletown, NY is what Oakwood's books say...)
