I live in the beautiful foothills of El Dorado County, California. I've become very interested in genealogy. One of the most difficult parts of genealogy is locating the final resting places of family members. To help others find ancestors, I joined Find a Grave.|

If you would send me your email address, I can send you the documents for Peleus Thomas and Margaret Thomas. They are buried at Mt Hope, but have no stones.

I am not related to any of the Thomases at Mt Hope and I see that you have several of the memorials. Would you like me to transfer any of them to you so that you can link the family members? I would be happy to do so.
Also, we are working on the cemetery records for Mt Hope and found some other Thomases. They do not have head stones, but we found records that they were buried here. One is Pelig (or Pelius) George Thomas born 1833 and died 1919 in Missouri.
If you send me your email address I will send you a copy of others who are here.

You left a photo request for Evergreen. If you can contact the office at 708-422-9051 to get the section name, part and lot #, I can try to get out there this weekend. Let me know. You can either add that into to your photo request or message me.

Thanks. I've just communicated with Thomas Dunne who did the Garfield memorial for Russell saying her first name wasn't Bussell; he said it looked like Bussell to him! And, it does a bit, I tried the preponderance of evidence thing and said it could just have been the stone carvers near miss. We'll see if Mr. Dunne changes her name!
Nice to communicate on this and have other opinions. Interesting what you said about Rootsboggin and military records. The Adam Fisher in my husband's family is the Revolutionary War soldier his grandmother and others used for their DAR memberships; she has him entered in a cemetery with name only and the thought that he was in the Revolutionary War hasn't gotten her interest yet. Enough.

I noticed that you had sponsored this memorial and several other Thomases. He and Mehetebel are my husband's 6th great grandparents and I think must be some kind of grandparents to you, too. Get in touch with us if you like.

I actually live just outside of Plymouth, and I pass thru Amador City at least twice a wk! (I go to Buffalo Chips for b-fast and Burgers!). I've been up to the Plymouth and Amador cemeteries a few times. :)
