|I am one of the hardy souls that actually enjoys being in cemeteries when in search of that elusive ancestor or their family.|
I have lived all over the US and enjoy traveling and seeing new sights.
My main family lines of interest are:
NORTH, MORGAN, POTWIN, and JUDD in the Chicago, Illinois area from 1862-Present.
VAN DEREN (VON DUEHREN) from New Jersey and New York.
Many of my lines then jump to Indiana, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts and all over New England in the early 1600s.
*(My husband's lines)*
CURBO/KERBOW/KERBO/KIRBO/KIERBOW/CURBOW/CURBOUGH/NICHOLAS/HESTER in the GA, LA, and TN areas. Two key counties are Jackson in GA and Lincoln in TN then they mostly seemed to move to Rusk county in TX.
BERRY/HEALY/GILMORE/LAFFEY from Ireland
I will probably start volunteering in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in order to add more information for Find a Grave!
I appreciate all the people I have found so far that were photographed by others. Thanks for all your hard work!
I don't mind being contacted with a specific question about one individual, but please don't contact me with open-ended questions about an entire family line. Beware of copying other people's work on your family since not everyone is meticulous or careful about the data they include as theirs (I call them name collectors).
Please refer to ancestry.com, familysearch.org, and rootsweb.com which is where I got most of the information posted here for most of the memorials I manage.

|Lynn Neuberg||Are you related to Anson Potwin?|
Are you a relative of Anson Cloudin Potwin? We are asking because my husband has found an old Family Bible dated 1828.
We would be happy to give this to you if you would want it for your genealogy records.
We are in Illinois.
Let us know if this is your family member?

|Ron Merrel||Pearcy - Moore Memorial Gardens|
There are several Pearcy people buried in Moore Memorial Gardens whom are not listed in the cemetery list, Could you possibly find them for me.
|Cyndi Wiseman||Thomas Henry Curbo #54035288|
You requested a transfer of the memorial for Thomas Henry Curbo, buried in Lakewood Memorial Park. Please send me another suggestion that includes your name, your husband's name, and his father's name. Thomas Henry Curbo had several children, and I want to be sure I am transferring to a legitimate descendant (or spouse of a descendant). Thanks very much for your help!
PS - you can add photos to any memorial on Find A Grave at any time.
|Lynne Harrington-Bullock||Morgan Transfers|
Good morning, Gina!
With the information that I have, it appears that my great-grandfather, Thomas Herbert Morgan, isn't directly related to your ancestors Elisha Morgan and Elisha Morgan, Jr. This being the case, I was wondering if you would like me to transfer the two Elisha Morgan memorials over to you?
|Lynne Harrington-Bullock||RE: Suggestions|
I have a lot I would like to share with you, but do not feel very comfortable sending messages for all to see. Is there any other way I could contact you? My great-grandmother Mary P. Judd Morgan was extremely interested in family genealogy and she saved many letters and photos. I do have a photo of Anson C. and perhaps his wife, Helen. A frustration for me is that many of the photographs that I'm reasonably sure are of family members, do not have names on them...sigh!
I knew about the Chicago Varnish Company. Wasn't it founded by Anson C. and his son-in-law, Otho H. Morgan?
Now, a little info about me. I have been doing a little genealogical research on and off (unfortunately, mostly off) for a number of years. Having the information from my great-grandmother and the desire to find out what happened to my paternal grandfather after my grandmother (Find A Grave #69358593) divorced him has, recently, spurred me on to spend more time doing research. My maiden name is Bullock.
My paternal grandmother, along with her brother (Find A Grave #88671772), were born in Chicago as was my father (Find A Grave #69358711) and his sister (Find A Grave #69359603). It seems that many of my family, on my father's side, center around Kentucky, Illinois (Chicago, especially) and California. In fact, didn't Julia die in Southern California? If so, she was probably visiting some of my (our) relatives.
I look forward to more "conversations" with you. Take care...
Thank you for the suggested corrections for both Emily Potwin Judd and for my great, great grandmother, Susan Judd which have now been entered on the appropriate Find A Grave memorials.
Also, according to information that I have from Susan's daughter, my great-grandmother, Mary Potwin Judd Morgan, her grandfather's (Anson C. Potwin) middle name is spelled Clouden.
Furthermore, since we seem to be cousins of some degree, at some future date, I would enjoy sharing (and confirming) information with you concerning our mutual ancestors.
Thank you for all that you have posted on both Find A Grave and Ancestry.com.
|GeneaProtector||Morgan in Rosehill|
Hello! I received transfer requests for 2 Morgans in Rosehill. I am wondering what your relation is to them please.
|Rommy Lopat||RE: Pictures of Norths in Lake Forest|
Please tell me what photo you would like me to take, okay? I'm short on time. As I recall, you said one of these North's built 1490 N Green Bay Road. Which one?
|Jamie Burnett||Vivian Radney - Roanoke IOOF Cem|
I have corrected the spelling of her first name. Several months ago, I offered to delete my listing if the other contributor would include the info I had that she did not. If I delete mine, we will lose vital information.
