Bio and Links
Bio Photo I appreciate all the hard work volunteers add to findagrave by maintaining memorials and adding photographs from cemeteries. I maintain several family trees on ancestry. My tree is The Warner Lone Star Family Tree. My father's family is clustered around Gonzales, Texas and my mother's around Abilene, Texas. My tree features Texas historical figures. "I hear ethereal whispers, persuasive, soft and still. Daughter, if you don't remember us, who will?" Irish saying, author unknown.

Portrait of Felix Magee
Is it ok if I copied it and added it to my tree? Let me know if not and I will take it off.

Claiborne Sullivan Magee
Hi Betty - Was very interested to see the portrait of Felix W.(assume Winston) Magee --- he is the brother to my Claiborne Sullivan Magee 1830 - 1863 who was living in East Texas when he joined the Conf - Texas 13th Calvary and did not return from the Civil War. I see there are many Claiborn Sullivan Magees in Texas but they are descended from Felix W. Magee and Martha Long Magee who came to live near brother in law Bluford Magee near Dewville/Union Hill area of Gonzales county. Are these your relatives? If so we are cousins! My Great Grandfather is Samuel Winston Magee (Son of C.S. Magee & Mary Jane McCullar who were living in East Texas during Civil War) and Sarah Elizabeth Davis Magee --- they are both buried at Rancho Cemetery about a mile or so out of Nixon, Texas. Please contact me --

I am helping a friend with an application to the Son of the American Revolution. I am looking for documents to show Felix W Magee is the son of Samuel Magee 1789-1845 and Elizabeth Taliafarro 1795-1846. Thanks for your help Gary Jensen

Johann Georg Buttner
I am a granddaughter of Johann Georg Buttner aka George Bittner born 1877 died 1923 married to Caroline Wilhemina Merkle (Merkel) born 1882 died 1941 both buried in the Hollywood Cemetery in Union, NJ. I would like to read the tall tale of strength and know more about my ancestors. My grandfather had 2 sons by a previous marriage according to my cousin George but he cannot find any info on them.

It is exciting to locate a relative, I have found several thanks to volunteers.

I have given permission to many request to use my photos and also have seen them on other sites. Some have been used without asking, however. I was advised to put the disclaimer on the photos I add to Find A Grave and most of the time I do what I am told. I also have a tree on Ancestry.

I have added several photos for you and thank you for asking if you can add the photos to your tree. Since I know you ask and give credit, you have my permission to add any photo I add to Find A Grave to your tree just continue to add the copyright.

I have claimed another of your request and will add the photos today.

I enjoy taking photos and adding them to memorial pages. Plus the big advantage is I get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Enough babbling, happy graving.
