Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the daughter of Robert Lee Snyder and Betty Jean Heagren. I live in a rural community in Knox County, Ohio. I have 2 sons and 10 grandchildren, 7 blood and 3 step but all the same my grandchildren.

I have been doing genealogy steady since 2007. I was searching before that for my moms adopted siblings. I also wondered who my father's biological family was because he too was adopted. I always knew his mother but never his father. That pretty much sums it up and I have been hooked ever since. Most of my family comes from Ohio, Pennsylvania, England and Germany.

I would like to find out more about the Ute family and where they came from. I am told we have Ute Indian in our bloodline and I have heard the same from my cousins. If anyone knows anything about the Ute family I would love to hear from you.

John Ute 1861-1864
I was researching the location of John Ute's grave today (section L, lot 29 in Green Lawn, Columbus), and the interment card did not have the names of John's parents. The card did show that John was born in Baltimore, MD, and at the time of his death he resided in Mt Vernon, Ohio. In searching the 1860 census, there was a JW Ute and wife Rebecca, plus 2 children (initials only were written down) living in Mt Vernon, Ohio. JW's birthplace is listed as Maryland, and Rebecca's as Pennsylvania. I can't prove it, but I'm betting these are John Ute's parents.

I only have the clippings from the Mount Vernon news and am writing a book mostly based on the massive accumulation of unnatual cause deaths in Knox County, not so much investigating deep into each individual. I'm working on 5,000 different folks so far and use birth, marriage, death and cemetery records when available and most important, all the news clippings I can find. Thanks for the work you do and I am always glad to help if you have questions, you are welcome to whatever I have. Have a great day!

RE: Edward Hogle
Hello Varinia:

All I know is that Uncle Ed was married 2 times. No information at all on Bessie. Or the 2nd wife for that matter. Do not even know the child's name. He died when I was quite young, so I never learned about him. Everyone now has passed on.

So happy to meet everyone via Find A Grave (:

RE: Graves of Grace and George Mack

Happy to help with your search efforts. As I noted on the picture attachment, I'll keep the graves on my tracking list and try to replace the pictures with "no shade" pictures in the future. The stones have sunk and I really need a high sun for better pictures.
