I am retired and performing geneaology research of my ancestry tree. My list of surnames includes: Wigton, Brooner, Mitchell, Kinion (also spelled Kinnion and Kenyon), Stahl (also spelled Stuhl, Stoll, etc.), Shannon, McCoy, Epps, Tanneyhill, Singleton, Taylor, Jones, McDaniel, Chandler, and many others. Please feel free to contact me, I am helpful but prefer to stay within my own family tree.
I also manage some of my wife's memorials, surnames are: Sheaffer, Sabens, Hayes, Foster, Strader, Willis, Merritt, Cross, and Piper. You may contact me on information for her family also. We work together on both family's genealogy.

James Wigton
Hi again,
I forgot to give you some of his daughter's info:
Isabella Wigton was born before 1778 and married circa 1797 to John Kelly ,who was born ? and died ? at Canada. Isabella's death location and date are not given. Isabella and John Kelly had a daughter Eliza who was born 31 Oct 1799 at ? and died at ? on 29 Oct 1878. Eliza married Isaiah Leach in 1821. There is more, but I doubt this is your line. The only proven (for DAR membership) child of James Wigton on the DAR site is Isabella. If you have proved other children, please let me know! Children are added and proven all the time!
Best regards,

Hi Leonard,
Thanks for the info on Capt James Wigton. Do you have documentation (records) to show his birth date and parents? I only add info to memorials that I can back up with records (I'm a stickler for being as accurate as possible with genealogy information).

I did update his memorial with information obtained from the Daughters of the American Revolution GRS index (as this is not my ancestor, so I have not done extensive research on him). Here is what I have for James:

Born in Pennsylvania before 1750 (the DAR must have a record with his name on it for the year 1750, so we know he was born before this date) and slain at the Wyoming Valley Massacre at Westmoreland, Litchfield Co., Connecticut (now Wyoming, Luzerne Co., PA). He married Isabella Shannon after 1798 (place of marriage unknown) and had at least one daughter also named Isabella who married John Kelley. DAR Ancestor #A126100.

I will add more information to his memorial if you will direct me to the records to back up the information.
Best regards,
