 | RE: memorial transfer Hi!
Thank you so much! I am related to Emma and Ora Burke. I would cherish a picture. Emma was the first daughter of my great grandfather, John Charles Sheffer, and we don't have many pictures of her and Ora, or their family in Ohio.
I'm not sure why the "e" was added later. I know the census takers misspelled names frequently, but if the family changed the spelling, I'm not sure why at this time. If I find out, I'll let you know.
My husband and I are planning on travelling through Ohio this year, and stopping in Mount Blanchard to visit the cemetery and see where all the families are buried. I have Picketts,Sheffers, Marquardts, and Burkes in that single cemetery who are family.
Thank you for all your work and help! Laura | | | Laura Sell
 | memorial transfer Hi Selena!
I was so excited to see that you had found my great aunt and uncle Burke! I was at Mt. Blanchard Cemetery a few years ago but didn't know they were buried there. Thank you so much for creating their memorial!
Would you be able to transfer their memorials to me? Their Memorial # are 84680469 and # 84680363.
Again, thank you on behalf of my Sheffer/Pickett/Marquardt/Burke family!!

 | RE: Burk/Burke The name spelling was the thing. My Dad whom is 92 remembers J Burk. There was another person next to the Burke his name was William H Richards/ 1848/1942 | | | Leona Gustafson

 | RE: Berry Aha, You are welcome indeed. That was a weekend retreat I went to in Carey, Ohio back in Sept. I completely forgot the wonderful drive and interesting scenery. Ohio is a special place for me, so fulfilling those few requests was the least I could do to show some gratitude to the folks of Ohio.
