|Virginia is my main stomping ground for genealogy research and living in California, this site has been a wonderful window into my ancestry. Both of my parents were born in Virginia, Prince William Co, Loudoun and Nelson, Rockbridge and Augusta, Hanover, Henrico Counties are especially important. Going way back, I find ancestors in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Still have some brick walls I hope to scale soon.|

My dad's sister was also named Mary Ann Donohoe. She would be from the line of Cornelius Donohoe, Amos Donohoe, Samuel Murray Donohoe, with her father being Roscoe Noel Donohoe of Portsmouth Ohio (b. 1887- d. 1969, Scioto County, OH). Don't know if there are any connections but interested to learn.

You're very welcome! It is a lovely stone made of quality marble, in quite good condition, and I'm happy that people can now appreciate it more fully. It's in a very visible location.

Rose Evelyn Shelton Horsley was the granddaughter of John Marshall Shelton and Ann Harrison Mosby Shelton. She was the daughter of John Marshall Shelton and Mary H. Diggs as documented on the 1850 & 1860 US Census.

Mary Ann, I would be afraid to hazard a guess as to which Campbell family your Elizabeth Campbell connects to, as there were a LOT of Elizabeth Campbells living in those mountains! One thing I can tell you is that your Elizabeth and Nelson Anderson Thompson lived right in the middle of all my Campbell ancestors, leading me to believe she is kin. Having said all that, I am the owner/moderator of the Campbell Kids Yahoo website, a group of Campbell descendants from that very same area of Virginia. I think somone in the group might be able to help you. If you'd like an invite to join our group, let me know your e-mail address and I'll be glad to connect you.

What can you tell me about my cousin, Lasca Mayfield Balderson Sanford Denny. I see that you called her aunt, are you on her Balderson, Sanford, or Denny line?
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for noticing the error in birth year. I can't find where her birth year came from, and I can't make out the picture I took, so I removed the birth year until I can find more concrete proof.
|Jeffry Burden||RE: Elizabeth McClure - Shockoe Hill Cemetery|
Thanks for responding. I am not related -- I do a lot of research at that cemetery, and our Cemetery friends group does a lot of upkeep and repair work there.
So if Denny is her married name, is her maiden name McClure or Graham? Perhaps McClure was her given middle name?
