Augusta G. Toopes, 68, of 5322 Park Dr., Newburgh, Ind., formerly of Danville, died at 7:02 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 30, 1986) at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Ind.
Born March 19, 1917, in Danville, she was a daughter of August G. and Oscarine Letoivre Gouthier.
In September 1938, she married Harold W. Toopes in Danville. He survives, along with a son, Anthony of Booneville, Ind.; a grandson, Anthony W. Toopes, and a sister, Mrs. Louis (Joan) Hoppe, both of Newburgh, and a nephew, Joseph Hoppe of Evansville, Ind.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Newburgh. She taught at St. Theresa's Catholic School in Evansville and later worked at Nevilles IGA, retiring in 1981.
Services: 11:30 a.m. Monday at the mausoleum chapel in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Danville; Officiating: The Rev. Thomas Shea; Burial, St. Patrick's Cemetery; Visitation: 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel.
I found this old obit in an old copy of The Commercial Newspaper dated Feb. 1, 1986. Thought it might be helpful. Thanks Tammy Mendenhall.

Kariaa, Did you have any luck finding a stone for Willie Turnell. He is not buried with the rest of the Turnells. He was Harry Turnell's nephew and died when he was 3. Let me know if there isn't a stone, please. Thanks so much for your time.

I wanted to let you know that Fairy is my great aunt. My grandpa William is the only living sibling left. My grandparents only had 3 boys and my dad was the only one that got married. I really don't know much of my Bedwell side, but have found out some from my grandparents and doing other research online. We need to compare some of the things that we have.
