answering questions?
Hi....I'm always happy to answer questions but this is the first email I've seen from you. Have I missed something?

photo request for Henry Bastian Lock
I see where you requested a photo for Henry's gravestone. Which one of Henry and Susannah's children is your 'family tree'? Henry's youngest son, Harrison(& Catharine) Lock is my great great grandfather on my mother's side. Harrison's eldest child - Francis Lock was my mother's grandfather. His daughter Mary was my maternal grandmother. I too would like to see a photo and requested one, but it stated it was previously requested. That's how I found you. I see some of the requests are from as far back as 2009.

Why would he have been at Amelia LaForce's funeral in 1927??

Living in Garrett, Dekalb Co, IN then.

Not related! I'm just the researcher at the local museum and am addicted to genealogy! Which of his children is your ancestor? Do you have any old pictures?? :)

RE: Another thanks!
Sorry the stones were in such bad shape, but there were a lot of broken stones in this cemetery.

Henry Hamilton gravesite ~ Virginia
You're quite welcome. Wish I had better luck though. Out of 18,000 soldiers that are buried at Hollywood, only a few thousand are marked. (There were no original markers, only wood-post numbers, but descendants placed vets markers for some, later in the 20th century.) Most were trench burials near the fall of Richmond. Our one and only Confederate States President is buried here. So you're a photo volunteer? Good. I was, but I quit because I was getting way too many regional requests. Now I just go to my favorite cemetery (Hollywood only) and pick up requests when I'm in the mood. Good luck my friend, welcome to the findagrave community, you'll enjoy it. Rich.
