My great great grandmother, Lydia Spar Henderson, was niece to James Henderson Jr. Can you identify her sisters in the tintypes I have posted on ? Thanks, Steve Bailey

RE: McNamee transfers
No problem. I photographed everyone listed on that tombstone and found there are two Hawkes and two Hicks. If you know how they are related, I'll link them together. The photo taken from the front shows a small white tombstone on the right. It looks like a child's as there is a lamb on it. However, the writing is completely worn off so there is no name. If Nell Hawkes (who died in 1884) was a child, it might be her marker. I'd like to hear what you think.

RE: Hugh McNamee
Hello again,

I'm trying to get all other things ready to start my input for find a grave. I spent a lot of time in Rose Hill and the Church that moved the graves. I have some new info that I'm in the process of proving. I will let you know. Please remind me if I forget.

Hugh McNamee
Our Patriot. I visited both the St. John's cemetery and what a story. I also visited the Cemetery where they moved the graves in 1896 and got the only record of moved graves that exists. Now I'm really concerned about his burial place. I took GPS numbers and I have to put it all together and then I will let you know what my diagnosis is of the information I was able to collect. I was also able to get a contact that cares for the original cemetery. What a mess it all is.

McNamee Cem Fairfield Co, OH

I just returned from a trip to Ohio for the funeral of my husband's Aunt. We ran over to Fairfield and checked McNamee cemetery and to my
Shock McNamee was really a mess and our 3rd great grandmother's stone has been broken. Do you know of anyone in that area we could get to fix it?

I noticed a conversation about taking out one picture to add another which was better? He added a picture of part of the stone and if that's what he wanted then it is correct. Your picture of the entire stone is more correct and both on the site are a good thing. To delete a photo the owner of the posted page must do that and if he doesn't know how then click on the picture and you will see change order and at the top he has the option to delete the high lighted picture.

Did not get to Maryland as I called the two cemeteries in question and they told me the same story...that McNamee graves were dug up and transferred with no marker put on the Mass grave were stone and all are buried. This would follow the article I found years ago on a stone with this name on it? Do we know where Alice Seeds McNamee is buried?

I will be in Maryland next week and wanted to look for Hugh's stone. I remember years ago that someone found his stone vandalized by no one knew where it belonged. Do you have a thought about which cemetery he might be buried in?

RE: Job & Charles McNamee
Thank you. This past summer my Sister obtained copies of all wills/estates with the name McNemee/McNamee, in Fairfield, Oh. In one, a Job, lists Thomas & Rebecca, and others (Thomas was my 2X Gr-Grandfather), but does not designate them as my son Thomas or my cousin Thomas, just Thomas & Rebecca (Thomas wife at the time and my 2X Gr-Grandmother. So in legaleze this could mean Thomas was or was not related, the will does not get any more specific - drat! Again, thanks,I will take a look. I do know the Job & Hannah in Portland are my if we could just find Job & Thomas father...I do have a male McNemee cousin whom I loved to have take a DNA test, but he refuses - drat.
