**My Family Tree is a little larger than most for a lot of reasons, the main one dawned on me
Family and friends were always welcomed to Thanksgiving and Christmas when my Mothers' Mother was around. We never turned anyone away, if you had a friend with nowhere to go, they became family. I research my family and sometimes find it hard to stop. I never believed in just 1st generations, because I was raised by loving 2nd and 3rd Aunts and Uncles, whose children were MY Cousins. I truly believe we are one big family and if you look deep enough into your family tree you will find you connections to your neighbor down the road, across the country and around the world.
I started with Findagrave photographing in 2007,
I started photographing the Braddyville Cemetery in Page County Iowa.
Sadly I can't get out to the cemeteries anymore to photograph anymore. I am so grateful to the other volunteers out there that so diligently photograph and save our past for everyone out there. I try now to connect the dots between the generations, sometimes mine and sometimes yours.
I try to double and triple check my facts, if I made a mistake please send me a correction under edit and I will gladly fix it, or if you would like a memorial transferred also please use the edit to ask for the transfer.
My philosophy is I put these here for historical value, and for you the descendants of these families. You may or may not have more information of them than I do, as long as you go through the edit, suggest a correction and ask me with a explanation of how you are related I will likely consider the transfer. EXCEPTION IS MY DIRECT LINE OR FAMILY MEMBERS.
WHEN I BECOME A FALLEN GRAVER, I ASK THAT SHARON LEWIS BECOMES THE MANAGER OF ALL MY MEMORIALS THAT SHE DECIDES TO MANAGE. THOSE SHE DOES NOT DESIRE TO KEEP CAN BE HANDED OVER TO THOSE THAT ARE ON MY FRIENDS LIST OR RETURN TO FINDAGRAVE MANAGEMENT.
I love doing the literal digging for FINDAGRAVE.
I HOPE WHAT I FOUND SPARKED SOMETHING IN US ALL TO CONTINUE TO PRESERVE THE PAST, IT'S A LITTLE STEP WE ALL CAN DO.
NOW WITH A NEW FOUND COUSIN, WE BOTH HUNT DOWN OUR ANCESTORS. WE EACH BRING SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO THE EQUATION; NEW EYES ON THINGS THE OTHER MIGHT MISS. WE BOTH LOVE FINDAGRAVE, CONNECTING LOST FAMILY MEMBERS IN FINDAGRAVE AND MEMORIAL MANAGEMENT IS MY PASSION AND FINDING THE PEOPLE THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN FIND.
THANK YOU, FINDAGRAVE AND ALL THE VOLUNTEERS!
WE WOULD ALL BE LOST WITHOUT YOU!

Thank you for that information - have looked some of this up. Hope you find the info you are looking for.

I believe we have common ancestors in John C. Burris and is wife Esther (Terry). They had a son named Moses who was the brother of Daniel and the uncle of Henry.
Moses is the father of Moses Jr., who named his son John C., whose son was Isaac Marion, who had Marion Schuyler, who I remember as my great-grandfather. My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Burris.
I saw your post on the page for "Esther (Fadden) Burris". I have been researching this line off and on for a couple of years, and am still missing a few key documents that would confirm all of the connections. Perhaps we can compare notes?

I've done some more research on the McAfee family.
Some of David McAfee's children are:
Isaac Garrison McAfee See Memorial# 72902076
William McAfee Buried in Maple Hill
Elizabeth Ann McAfee Buried in Maple Hill
Samuel M. McAfee Buried in Maple Hill
David McAfee Buried in Maple Hill
Although William, Elizabeth, Samuel and David are not on Find a Grave, I have pics of their stones. All have one f.
Doubt that all those stones are wrong.

Not other than a possible mistake in his military records which also happens. Just pointing out the difference. Neil

Yikes! Small world. I too have several of the accused as direct ancestors. Also, directly to John Wise who wrote the petition. Dangerous thing to do during the hysteria. Oddly, his sister married Cotton Mather' s cousin. I noted your name was Mullins....another interesting and historical family.
I love this hobby....it is never boring!

I was just doing some research and I often like to read random bios on fellow 'gravers'. We cant get out to photograph any more either, but I try to assist others by doing research. Bless your heart for your dedication! I just wanted to say thank you for all you have done - fellow graver - Gail Wise Gittens

I was actually looking for information for one of my Prickett ancestors and stumbled on the "wrong" cemetery, so I can't tell you if there's a marker there or not, but I do know that some of the oldest stones that are in the "right" cemetery are in fairly poor shape. The cemetery is located at Prickett's Fort, and is actually a state park. The last time I was there in 2009, they had some detail on the burials in the cemetery, so if your photo request doesn't find an answer, I'd contact them directly. Here's a link to the Prickett's Fort site: http://www.prickettsfort.org/
Good luck with your searching.
Just happened to come across your bio and enjoyed reading it. You are a special person and Find A Grave is lucky to have you as a volunteer.

Thank you. Is the book "The Searl Dozen"? I have it. I too have communicated with the author as I was able to give her the Alice Searl line with her marriage to Howard Milton Combs. (my great grandparents)
Thanks again for transferring the memorials.
