|Janet Muff||George W Hulett|
You posted a death announcement for George Washington Hulett on my memorial at find-a-grave:
In the notes to the image you said that the announcement came from a paper dated in 1901.
I believe George died in 1882, so either I've got the death date wrong or you've got the date of the newspaper wrong.
There is no date of death on the tombstone. My information came from cemetery data, which may not be accurate.
So, will you please double-check the newspaper information and let me know.
Thanks very much,
|Billie Jasper||William Adam Empy|

|Janet Muff||RE: hulett photos|
Thank you so much for your message, but I'm well aware that those photos were not wonderful. I know the difference between "wonderful" and barely legible, and some of the photos I posted were the latter because those VT granite stones are magnets for lichen. I shot them at two different times of day, with different lighting, and I shot them using a mirror to reflect sunlight obliquely onto them, and the results were pretty miserable.
I've learned one thing about my own tombstone from having photographed a lot of stones: I won't be having Vermont granite! Even when it's pristine, the inscriptions tend to be so shallowly cut that they are hard to photograph properly.
I appreciate your gracious message, however, and if you want to see wonderful, here's my version:
