Hammonds from Mississippi
I read your note on John William Hammond's memorial page. I'm looking for descendants of Washington Leroy Hammond and Sarah "Sallie" Granberry Hammond. I have definitely found three so far. Their son, Jonathan, called John was born in 1852 in Mississippi. Do you have information on Washington and Sarah Hammond's children?

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Lewis Bobo
I too am related to Lewis Bobo. He had a daughter Jeaney (Geaney, Virginia. Lewis didn't move to Union Co. SC until about 1770. He & Sampson Bobo received land grants from King George III in 1770 & 1773 respectively. Family of Lewis settled in Berkley (later Union) Co Cross Keys SC around 1770. My ancestor, Lewis's 5th child (Jeaney) could have been born in Granville Co. NC or Union Co. SC.

Granville District of NC 1748-1763 Abstracts of Land is the source. Lewis Bobo from 1755- to abt 1768 living on Shocco Creek in Granville Co NC. He was a land surveyor there. So therefore the 1st 4 children couldn't have been born in Union Co. SC.
Would like to talk to others who are related. I have quite a bit of info on the Bobo family.

First of all, Welcome to Find A Grave. You're going to find a wealth of information if you're doing genealogy. I just saw your flower on James Hall Memorial and that you were "kin" through their son James Prescott Hall and his wife Jemima Ball. I come from their first child (daughter) Elizabeth and her husband J D Taylor. I'd love to compare notes with you. cuz sj
