RE: pictures
Gloria, I got the pics! Thank you. You are so very kind. I remember in my younger years Uncle Bud and Aunt Nettie. It was so good to see that nice picture of my Grandma Bullard. Did you ever notice in the older people, they very rarely smiled in pics?
I plan to get these printed out and give them as a surprise birthday gift to Theresa and Robbie. What a wonderful family, and rich in southern history. Any more you with to share just send them on. These pictures are true treasures and I appreciate your time in sending them.

Thanks again,

Cynthia Gay

RE: pictures
Gloria, did you send them through my regular email? I did not receive them and went back in to see if they were sent through the find a grave.

Pictures of Newton
Good morning Gloria,
I did not receive the photos you are speaking of. Perhaps I need to put your email on my safe list. Also, some people tend to put an "a" in the Ledbetter. My email address is Sorry that I did not receive it. Thanks for sending them. If you would be so kind as to try again, I would appreciate it.

Hello Gloria,
Just realized that I did not give you my email address for the pictures you had. Old family pictures are true treasures, and I thank you for sharing yours with me and my family.

Gloria, yes he is! He was my mothers second husband. I have many fond memories of going down to grandma Bullards. These pics will be priceless to my sister and brother. I would appreciate any you could send. Thanks so much for contacting me. Indeed it is a small world.

RE: David Derrick Newton
Thanks for the tip Gloria. Did you post it on your family tree and is it public? I would love to add it to my family tree. No I did not write a book on the Newtons. Actually, I am not blood related as Ernie was my stepfather. I researced this family tree for my half brother and sister who are kin to the Newtons and Bullards in South Carolina. Also, for my half brothers sons, in case they wanted to join the SCV one day.

Keep in touch,

Newtonville Cemetery

Thank you for your e-mail. I added most of the names to findagrave for the Newton Cemetery on 385. I added several dozen people related to the folks at Newton Cemetery to the Newtonville Cemetery page for findagrave, only to discover that someone else had added those same people to Adams Cemetery. When I contacted that person, he informed me the cemetery was now known as Adams Cemetery.

I then visited Adams Cemetery to figure out who was buried there and to photograph the tombstones. Another findagrave contributor has informed me the correct name is Newtonville. I don't have the authority to rename the cemetery, but I think Newtonville is the correct name from a historical perspective. I will contact the person who told me the name is Adams to see how we can resolve the confusion.
