I was born in Campbell Co. Tn. & raised mainly in Anderson Co. Tn. I am a direct descendant of Col. Stephen Copeland of Overton Co. Tn. I love the genealogy hunt. & I love the way Find-A-Grave is set up. By adding memorials to this site I feel we are helping our descendants to see & know where they came from.. My Main Surnames are: Copeland, Buck, Dunn, Hull, Jones, Kinsella, Lawhorn, Looper, Loveday, Lowhorn, McCloud, Tompkins, Walker, White I have created several memorials for people who are not related to me. When I visit a cemetery I take as many photos as I can. If any of these happen to be your kin, I will be glad to transfer them to your care. I love the way that Find-A-Grave allows us to link our ancestors. I think memorials should be in the care of the family members that can link them. Thanks Bob
68225409 Hi, I am trying to confirm the true children of the Col but am finding conflicting info. Even in this memorial, the children do not match. Any info or source you can provide would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!
Jimmy Ray Kennedy I just wanted to thank you for posting the memorial to my dad, Jimmy Ray Kennedy. I live 500 miles from Tennessee these days and even when I do make it back home, I seldom get to go visit his grave. Stumbling across this memorial was a nice surprise, and it really made my day. Thanks again.... James Kennedy
What can you tell me about Mr. Tompkins' military service? Are you a member of his family? I'm curious as to where you obtained the photos shown on your memorial.
I am interested in finding out anything about his service with the Army Air Corps. The info will be used to assemble a page on my website, which honors the service of those who served with the 7th Bomb Group during WW2.
I'd appreciate any info that you might have to share.
RE: William Barker Thanks so much for the prompt and courteous transfer and comments. Like you, we feel that the memorials should be in the care of families - I wish that was more of a common view but we do experience all kinds. This is a great site and a wonderful idea! Thanks for your efforts and may you continue to enjoy this as much as we do
RE: Thomas A McCloud Nah, you're not (laughing). My photo is somewhat clay covered as well - his grave's in the back row on a slant and there's very little grass nearby - I spose it's always going to be dusted over. No sense in me posting mine since it's nearly the same as yours. N
