I want to give a great big thank you to all of those wonderful folks without whom we'd have no Find-A-Grave Memorials. Big thank you to those folks who have transferred Memorials to me too!

I believe that if we're all willing to work together toward a common goal, we can not only do our individual Memorials, but can also add to the Memorials of others by sharing info.

I also believe that there should be a place where everyone can announce their family reunions to those who may be distantly related. You may not even know of the relationship. For instance...a very distant cousin. Maybe they know of it. So feel free to announce any upcoming family reunions here. You could make a new connection!!!

no marker
what I do is , in the marker transcription, I put "no marker found or located". It could be there about 6 inches down under grass and weeds or under a bush or something. We have dug for these and found them but it isn't worth doing frankly.

RE: Old Willimantic Cemetery CT
Hi Valerie,
Just to let you know Old Willimantic Cemetery is huge with 4000+ gravestones....and I do not go there often because it is very difficult to find photo requests.
That being said...I did take a gravestone photo of Ida M Manning Williams d 1934 age 75..so she would have been born in 1859..memorial page #127543429. Perhaps this is who you are looking for..

Mabell Manning...Old Willimantic Cemetery CT
I just took another look and she was only 8 months old at death...so perhaps you are looking at another Mabel Manning??

RE: Mabell Manning...Old Willimantic Cemetery CT
Thanks for the info...I'll accept your edit...and just put a note on her memorial page about her name spellings.
Thanks so much,
Sara

Mabell Manning...Old Willimantic Cemetery CT
Hi,
The reason I have Mabell Manning listed as her name is because that's what her gravestone is inscribed with..instead of Mabel. Is this wrong...should she be Mabel instead?? I want to mention this discrepancy on her memorial page.
Thanks,
Sara

Linda Church
Daniel Williams stone in Ball Cemetery - VT
You asked for a picture of the cemetery sign - but there isn't a sign with the name on it.

I could go back and get the road sign for you that says Ball Cemetery if you would like?

Sincerely
Linda Church

Corp Lemuel
Hi Val, I had no problem searching him with his title left on the memorial in a general search.
You may have encountered memorials that the title was misplaced into the first name field (I have encountered these).
Thanks for the middle name.:)

RE: Melvina Ellen Manning Reed
They are not the only branch of the family to do this as there are 3 or 4 spellings of the Reed name...I was also told Melvina was her middle name but they switched things around as there was a couple of other relatives with the Ellen name and that was all I was trying to point out...Harold Baker was some what good on this type of thing...

Melvina Reed Manning
Not sure what you want me to correct on this memorial.. I took off the last little bit but beyond that I used what Harold Baker and some others had.. Do I have the wrong parents or such??I was just trying to point out the difference in the actual name and what was on the monument.. If some one was looking for Melvina Reade they may not know to look under Melvina Reed...
