I want to give a great big thank you to all of those wonderful folks without whom we'd have no Find-A-Grave Memorials. Big thank you to those folks who have transferred Memorials to me too!

I believe that if we're all willing to work together toward a common goal, we can not only do our individual Memorials, but can also add to the Memorials of others by sharing info.

I also believe that there should be a place where everyone can announce their family reunions to those who may be distantly related. You may not even know of the relationship. For instance...a very distant cousin. Maybe they know of it. So feel free to announce any upcoming family reunions here. You could make a new connection!!!

Thanks for your suggestions.
Please check out the memorial for John A Bartlett 95430386. You will see that I located Maude, who is buried with her second husband in the Plaistow Town Cemetery.
Best wishes,

Darius Manning & Caroline Philbrook
Hi Valerie, I've added the occupation of engineer to Darius' bio section. Also, the "OSSW" on Caroline Philbrook's "note" section means "on same stone with"; meaning there are other names inscribed on the same monument, but not necessarily all Philbrook's. Could be a sister, a mother, an aunt, a daughter, etc., therefore there would be a different last name. Regards, Nadeen

Howard family at Evergreen
you are most welcome. I appreciate the suggestions. I have much more research to do there so as edits are sent to me I try to at least do the family members connected...much was accomplished because of you.
best regards

Caroline Farnsworth
You said, "The memorial is for Carrie Farnsworth who died at 2 years of age. The Headstone is for Abel Farnsworth who died at 81. 48930271."

Please read entire headstone; her info is at the bottom of the stone.

Yes, but it's very poor...and I'll be retaking it.

I'll add this to my list of stones to retake in the spring...if the snow ever melts. ;-)

Thank you for th marriage date. I'm not related to this family and would be happy to transfer her memorial to you if you'd like.

RE: Edward M. Buracker
I was happy to photograph that monument for you. Since then I have added Edward Manning Buracker's father, mother and sister.

Although I took that photo for you as a photo request, it turns out that Edward's father Samuel married a relative of my wife; Caroline Almond.

The Almond's were prevalent in Luray also. I was there that day to photograph three Almonds, in a different section, and was looking at the 114 photo requests. Yours was the only one I found.

Samuel A Buracker is married to a second cousin of my wife twice removed.

John Manning at Ashby
Hi, Valerie.
I appreciate your research on the Mannings and Whitcombs. The records included information on my Gibsons buried at Ashby. The source for my information is listed in the bio on each memorial I posted. It's a 12-page document by Richard Jaquith Fowle. He walked the cemetery in 1937 and recorded every stone there at the time. In Lambert's A Guide to Massachusetts Cemeteries, the cemeteries in Ashby are the First Parish, Glenwood and West (1806) cemeteries.

Does this help?
