Thank you so much for a picture of Eula. She is my great great aunt. How wonderful to have a picture.
|Ed Hightower||Dennis and Mary Dowling|
As far as I know every marked grave in Unity Cemetery has been photographed.
Please check with the Find A Grave volunteer who created the Memorials for Dennis and Mary Dowling in 2011 to find out if markers actually exist or the volunteer created the memorials because the Dowlings in question are "said" to be buried there.
|Pamela Molloy||Masonic Cemetery|
Unfortunately, I live in Las Vegas so not possible to go to the Masonic Cemetery in Bucklin. I try to take a few pictures whenever I go home about once a year. I would suggest putting in a request on findagrave and hopefully, someone will do it or it will remind me when I go home the next time. As far as a phone number, the cemetery itself does not have one. Actually have to catch the mayor who works only a few hours a couple days a week being such a small community. Sorry, I can't be more help at this time.
|Janet S. Endris||WEAVER Cem photo requests|
The cemetery is actually the Wever-Speer Cemetery.
You will find there all of the headstones that have been found.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I am a direct descendant of Jacob and Elizabeth (Speer) WE(a)VER

One additional note.
I realize Joshua Frier was Ardelia Frier's uncle. Not sure if the context of my last message was clear on that.
I believe you said you were descended from Moses Dowling. My Dad lived with Moses' sister, (his grandmother) Virginia Caroline Dowling McDonald, for a couple of years during his childhood, and my mother remembers Dennis Dowling, another of their siblings.

By the way Darla, per your information we are 2nd cousins, once removed.
Since I originally responded my Dad and I attended a gravemarking ceremony for Joshua Frier at Shiloh Cemetery in Plant City, Florida.
Are you familiar with another son of William and Ardelia Dowling, William Henry Taylor Dowling? (Or did we discuss this?) He was one of the last living veterans of the Civil War, one of the final commanders of the United Confederate Veterans organization and the last Civil War veteran who lived at the Atlanta Confederate Soldiers Home, dying in 1948. I'm not looking at it now, obviously, but I believe I created a memorial page on his behalf.
I have various additional stuff on the Friers and Dowlings I probably haven't shared with you, if you want to send me your email address.
|Dr. William McDonald||Friers|
You and I corresponded on Rootsweb once or twice, and I have long since forgot whether I sent you a copy of Joshua Frier's Civil War journal. Did I? If not, please send your email address to email@example.com
gg Grandson of Ardelia Frier (and your cousin)
