Bio and Links
Bio Photo I joined the Navy right out of High School on 11 March 1947 and retired as a Master Chief Data Processing Technician (E-9) on 5 August 1966.

I have been doing family genealogy since 1983 and have written family books on these families: Newman, Burk(E), Doty, Dueppen and assisted in my wife's family: Beaty and Sealock. Also, I have done extensive research on other family lines including: Garnett, Jones and Preston - these three were originally from Washington Co., Maine.

My Edward Doty line came over on the Mayflower in 1620. He married Faith Clarke on 6 Jan 1635 in Plymouth, Mass. and they had seven children.

Unless a person is directly related to me I'll be glad to transfer control to anyone.

Jerry, where did you find the name Sophronia for Mary Etta and should Mary Etta be one word?

RE: Prestons
Just like how you asked me to link John Nelson Presto to Nathan and Hannah, ask the manager of Henry Cogins Preston to link to Nathan and Hannah as well.
Here is where to find Henry:

I don't think there is a memorial already made for Ichabod Preston at Los Gatos Memorial Park, at the below link:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=8134&CScn=Los+Gatos&CScntry=4&CSst=6&

If you wanted to make one for him and link him to Nathan also.

RE: Preston
You're welcome. Did you ask the managers of the other Preston siblings to link up?

Preston
Hi,
Ichabod Preston, son of Nathan and Hannah, is buried at Los Gatos Memorial Park, Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, California, according to a Preston researcher.

Henry Cogins Preston, is buried at Columbus Cemetery, Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska.
There is a Find a grave memorial for him and his wife, along with pictures and obit:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=18342596

The Preston researcher has this as the death date place for Nathan Preston: April 7, 1855, died in Potter, Pennsylvania.
